MHZs CD88E cdp + Ming Da MC34-A06 tube int amp + belden 1313a cables + Leisure 2

This combination is a potent combination which will give the mainstream brands a good fight, and for less than 3k shipped, this will be a serious setup to rival some others costing much more. Nice Francis.

Tell us how much the whole setup for AV costs

i chance upon a pair at a car hifi installer shop where they have a separate room nicely done up for guests to relax. the aurum cantus speakers were driven by a SET amp & source provided by a marantz 63se... wow... xtremely impressive... hear it to believe how good they are...

those of you wish to audition, try go to 3rd floor, technolink, kaki bukit (above chery car show showroom), this company deals in alpine in-car systems supply & installation. (can't remember the name of company though)...

No lah, my AV system pretty old and nothing to crow about.  I am waiting for the V8F to come so that I can replace my NHTs' for 5.1 set up.  Anybody interested in my old NHTs.... :D

Actually, i paid S$620 in Hkg thru' Cattylink.  Cost without shipment charge.  I dongbang the speakers together with my friend's shipment, so save on the over-all cost.  Not sure on the pricing of the Melody but  can check it up.  For vocals, these are really something special and shud be auditioned, guarantee you will like it.... :D

Strange, the Aurum Cantus website does not show this model.  This could be the old Melody model.  Shud audition it first.

Latest pricing of the Melody model is...

Melody M-102      HKD14,800 ( Standard Finish )

Melody M-102      HKD17,500 ( Special High Gloss Finish )

Melody M-103      HKD9,800  ( Standard Finish )

Melody M-103      HKD11,800 ( Special High Gloss Finish )

For the above-mentioned retail prices quoted, we would like to offer a less 30% discount ( shipping fee excluded ) especially for your goodself.

Nope, AFAIK I bought one of the last pairs from Audio88 after they dropped the brand few years ago.

I had the V3M, but sold them off recently. The V series is slightly higher than the Leisure series. They actually sound really good, highs are really extended and sparkly, musical too, but requires careful matching. Wrongly paired, they can sound quite bright and thin. Really does reveal shortcomings in the setup.

thanks for the link!

from what i've gathered what is sold inside China is different from what goes out, in terms of woofers and tweeters. so they might be similar but not the same, differentiated by the model name extensions.

aside to benlzy:

can i check when did you get yours from audio88?

Bought it in 2015, but they already dropped the brand then. Even the set I bought was brought back into the shop from MY.

benlzy, thanks!

likely going to pickup a pair 2nd hand, at what looks like a good price. hopefully i can justify the quality of the speakers, with my crappy setup, lol.
