Adelaideltpc Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 This is a steal at $4 a disc, just ordered. Is there a difference between the US version and the UK version? Seems like the US Lost boxset has better packaging and it was only US$156.....
petetherock Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Thought LOTR (TE) the 3 disc set is selling S$50 only ? Are you talking about BR or DVD?
gunner9 Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Preordered Supernatural Seasons 1-5 blu ray boxset from Amazon UK for NZ $133 including shipping. I already own Seasons 1, 3 and 4 on blu ray (allbrand new and unwatched) but the boxset was too much of a bargain to turn down. If anyone is keen on buying Seasons 1 , 3 or 4 on blu ray, I will be putting them on Trade Me early next week (once my UK order has shipped). Reserve price will be $30 per season + shipping.

Think some of the seasons are region locked on the US version, but it has an extra disc and better packaging as you said. I'm happy paying less for essentially the 6 series boxsets.
brake Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 (edited) Hey guys sorry about this, I just need to quickly know how to combine orders on amazon? I made an order for a few discs earlier and I wanted to add another disc to that, so I put another order through for the 1 disc thinking I could combine them later... I can't see the combine option anywhere. I swear it used to be available, have they stopped allowing this? Cheers.... Edited December 1, 2010 by brake

I learnt that you can't combine orders IF you use gift vouchers (ahhhh its all in the fine print !!) oh well - it was good when the $A was up !

Here's a long story re "Combine" option..... When amazon uk updated their system, for some reasons they removed the "Combine" option as well. I've tried contacting the Customer Service droids so many times, but they kept refering to the Combine intructions for the previous system which obviously no longer apply to the new ordering system. I got fed up and emailed them requesting cancellation to ALL my orders/pre-orders in progress and removal of my account details from amazon system - only then they acknowledged that the "Combine" option is not available due to technical problem which they are working on. They made me an offer to refund the chipping costs of all my future orders which can not be combined untill the "Combine" option is reinstated. However, after a number of orders shipped without having refunded for the shipping costs I queried and was told by one of the Customer Service droid (Michael M) that the offer made by the other droid was wrong because the "Combine" option has always been there to use so I won't get my shipping costs back! LOL.... It's a waste of time stuffing around with these amazon monkeys....
IanD1503559705 Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 (edited) Short answer - You can't combine orders by yourself anymore! Or is it that they have so many exclusions to combining now that you have to be very fortunate to have complying titles (like never)? The same thing is happening at Amazon USA: I wanted to combine 2 orders but there were no options. An email of complaint to Amazon and they manually combined them. Unfortunately they simply doubled the shipping costs for the combined order, so I had to complain again and get a refund of the difference. If you make enough fuss over an issue and keep explaining it to them until they escalate it to someone who understands complex issues, then usually you can get refunds. Amazon keep track of correspondence on issues, so if they have sent you an offer, it should still be on their system and if you pester them enough over it, they will make some compensation (sometimes it helps to suggest a compensation you would be happy with). brake Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Thanks guys. I just went in to cancel everything and re-order with the extra title but half of my order is ready to shipped and can not be changed. Oh well, in the end it's amazon who loses business bynot letting people combine orders.
Guest Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Thanks guys. I just went in to cancel everything and re-order with the extra title but half of my order is ready to shipped and can not be changed. Oh well, in the end it's amazon who loses business bynot letting people combine orders. FWIW I am not happy with the changes Amazon has made to my 4 orders - each title was in stock when I ordered and now 2 or the 4 are being held up by a title they now claim ships in 2-3 weeks - the one order that is coming expedited (I didn't notice they changed my default before pressing the order button) will arrive smack bang in the middle of my leave when I wont be here! I didn't want any expedited orders you F-wits! and how come you have to change the arrival dates three times with each order! You Idiots!
