i am using it!  ;D

it can only be found in japan. its 14awg in thickness.

bought it during my trip to osaka.

cost is 1200yen per meter (appox sin$15-$16 per meter)

the qualities of this cable is very close to kimber cables 8tc. (according to salesman) it has won many awards in japan.

i used to use belden 1313a, but have now changed to belden 814.

impressed with it so far.

well, the 1313a was tad too bright in my setup.

the 814 has good highs and taut bass lines.

drum snares are superb(can tell if the snare chains are wound up tight or loose)

guitar strumming(can hear the intensity of the plucks on the strings)

pianos are alive(can hear the wood, when they hit a key).

voices are clear and imaging is good.

well thats my little review of the 814.

Cheer's!

:D

I remember many moons ago I did ask Robert on some Belden cables and factory terminated interconnects I found in Yodobashi store in Yokohama and he told me that those are for Japanese market which they cannot bring in.  Sorry to burst your bubble.

perhaps this is officially not a belden cable but the japan belden get from oem and include it in their 'local' catalog.  no 'belden' printed on it?

After only an hour running in, my impression of this cable from Jpn is one of respect.

It will replace my current 1313a as reference and I expect the sonic to further improve when it's fully run in.

Is not as warm sounding as the 1313a but still retain its smooth and sweet mid with enough clarity to enjoy the extended high and clear vocals without any harshness.  Bass is tighter and slightly louder, just right for my taste.  Imaging and separation is spot on and the soundstage is excellent.  IMO, it's a very good buy and excellent value for money..... :D
