Jason Yeo Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Ooh 18" drivers....and the price seems pretty reasonable. Comes in 230v too. http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/speakers/subwoofers/a7s-450 Singapore no door to door delivery unless you ship to a factory with a loading bay ;D I ordered the A900 , paid , they built the sub , I ask my buddy to standby to carry, but last minute they cancelled due to shipping problem . A450 also same problem according to them . They do not use bax global , btw. Their service is tip top. Can online chit chat with the sales, engineers and etc . Good luck with those interested . ;)
basspundit Posted March 9, 2009 Author Posted March 9, 2009 Wah Jason, you went for the dual 18" ?! That one really looks mighty, i wonder how eD stacks up vs SVS. If performance similar seems that eD more economical.

Yah , looks mighty, very heavy and biggggg :o However , no luck to put it in my room due to shipping problem ..... ;D Now still wonder how is the performance. Hopefully someone can bring in a single or best dual 18' and let me try try ;D Actually I more interested at Epik Conquest(single 18' driver) that time but too bad no international shipping and 220V version .
synthesis1624705793 Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Singapore no door to door delivery unless you ship to a factory with a loading bay ;D Curious.... what's the different between shipping to residential and to a factory? Can they ship the woofer only to SG?
Jason Yeo Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 Curious.... what's the different between shipping to residential and to a factory? Can they ship the woofer only to SG? They can ship just driver to SG coz it is small. My story (abt 1.5years ago when they launched A900) goes..... Chit chat with them and checked the shipping . Quoted me around USD300 using Fedex(thought very cheap for a big sub ;D) . Paid them in full(including sub) and they built the sub . When built and going to ship , they asked me if mine is a residential address . I told them yes . Then they asked if I have a loading bay . I told them no . Immediately they told me quoted wrongly on the shipping and said the charges is for a factory with loading bay. Asked them to check for alternative like Bax Global and etc . After to and fro mails , they said the cheapest for residential shipping is USD1.2K . After some thoughts on the total charges , gave up and they refund me in full(loss some money in exchange rate :'() I then checked if I can get 2 x A450 but answer is the same . Sub too big to ship to residential ....... Now feel lucky that time this deal did not go thru coz at the same time , I preordered the 13ultras and the size of this sub might give me problems on positioning . ;D Moreover , I am satisfy with the 13tltras performance , enough liao. However , I must emphasize that their service is really good ...only making mistake on the shipping .....
synthesis1624705793 Posted March 9, 2009 Posted March 9, 2009 They can ship just driver to SG coz it is small. Well you can bring in the driver, build a cabinet then slap in O-Audio 500W amp. Presto you have new subwoofer. :)
modas88 Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 ED sell both the drivers and the amps that are used in their HT subs seperately. It would be relatively straightforward to order both from them & DIY ur own sub BTW the ED A7s-450 was reviewed on an online mag. check out the size of that Transformer!!!!! http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/speakers/subwoofers/a7s-450/a7sinside1.jpg.JPG/image_view_fullscreen
