wechnivag Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 I realized with my x3600 can no longer set separate bass management for stereo input vs multichannel. My previous 5200 had a separate setting for stereo setup, distance, levels, bass management and double bass. Sent from my Redmi Note 8 using Tapatalk

kopidilo Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 Thanks for the heads up! Wow. So what's the key difference in specs and amp design between this A110 and the X8500? Seems like quite similar to X8500?
Gondon72 Posted September 8, 2020 Posted September 8, 2020 wa 5 years warranty there! BEAST! amazing specs and build here in SG we might not have 5yrs. :D

petetherock Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Thanks for the heads up! Wow. So what's the key difference in specs and amp design between this A110 and the X8500? Seems like quite similar to X8500? There some info by Denon about a large number of component changes, but those who have seen the innards can't see the difference. Perhaps you can consider it to be Denon's "KI" version of the 8500... but the question is whether you can hear these differences, especially in HT, and whether the differences are worth the big jump in cost..
DJQ Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 A110 GOING AT 680,000 Yen. That's S$8800. SG after gst... A whopping $9500. :o
desray Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 A110 GOING AT 680,000 Yen. That's S$8800. SG after gst... A whopping $9500. :o Holy crap!!! If that’s the MSRP, then likely the price will be lower a little. But even then, we are looking at a near $8K selling price. They really take this HDMI2.1 8K full bandwidth seriously. LoL. I think the X8500H will be highly sought after if one isn’t too crazy about 8K. I still think that 4K jump to 8K will not be as prominent in terms of image quality when compared to the 1080p transition to 4K. We need bigger “screen estate” to see the difference, somewhere in the ballpark of 75” and above. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
kopidilo Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 :o I hope this doesn't result in future Denon flagship costing so much.... :'(

rayleh Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 8k is a lot to swallow for a Denon or an AVR imo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
petetherock Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 :o I hope this doesn't result in future Denon flagship costing so much.... :'( IMO, this is a one off. Remember the 100th Anniversary? The same AVR was 'upgraded' and it cost a fair bit more. But other models remained affordable. They aren't stupid. The new HDMI upgrade board should be here by the start of the fourth quarter, but the price, let's hope it's reasonable. In any case, unless I got 8k, it's not urgent for me to upgrade...
kopidilo Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 ya man. At 9k, we can buy a AVR with Dirac Live liao. It opens up to many other competitive choices.

I was expecting it to be in the region of S$5k~S$6k. even if after huge discount priced at S$7k~S$8k, still alot of pay for a AVR. funny why they still continue to make SACD player. i was thinking of a possible UHD-BDP.
