I realized with my x3600 can no longer set separate bass management for stereo input vs multichannel.

 

My previous 5200 had a separate setting for stereo setup, distance, levels, bass management and double bass.

Perhaps once you've got a Denon configured (which can take some time) it just sits in the rack and does its thing. My 3808 hasn't been moved or reconfigured since 2008 and wouldn't need to be replaced

Hi guys,   it is interesting that this, the Denon AV Owners Thread, is so dead, while the equivalent thread for Marantz owners is so active?   Surely they sell in similar numbers?

Hi betty,   it looks like this is the update to the X8500H? And that the X8xxxH designation will cease?   Perhaps also signalling that they are reaching further 'down from the top'

This feature is available on my 4500.

So what's the key difference in specs and amp design between this A110 and the X8500? Seems like quite similar to X8500?

There some info by Denon about a large number of component changes, but those who have seen the innards can't see the difference.

Perhaps you can consider it to be Denon's "KI" version of the 8500... but the question is whether you can hear these differences, especially in HT, and whether the differences are worth the big jump in cost..

A110 GOING AT 680,000 Yen. That's S$8800. SG after gst... A whopping $9500.  :o

Holy crap!!! If that’s the MSRP, then likely the price will be lower a little. But even then, we are looking at a near $8K selling price. They really take this HDMI2.1 8K full bandwidth seriously. LoL.

 

I think the X8500H will be highly sought after if one isn’t too crazy about 8K. I still think that 4K jump to 8K will not be as prominent in terms of image quality when compared to the 1080p transition to 4K. We need bigger “screen estate” to see the difference, somewhere in the ballpark of 75” and above.

looking at it..maybe the upgraded X8500H might be around $6k?

IMO, this is a one off. Remember the 100th Anniversary? The same AVR was 'upgraded' and it cost a fair bit more. But other models remained affordable. They aren't stupid.

 

The new HDMI upgrade board should be here by the start of the fourth quarter, but the price, let's hope it's reasonable.

 

In any case, unless I got 8k, it's not urgent for me to upgrade...

ya man. At 9k, we can buy a AVR with Dirac Live liao. It opens up to many other competitive choices.

 

Rotel just announced AVR with Dirac if i am not wrong.

lol, sorry if i exaggerated. I was expecting it to be in the region of S$5k~S$6k. even if after huge discount priced at S$7k~S$8k, still alot of pay for a AVR.

funny why they still continue to make SACD player. i was thinking of a possible UHD-BDP.

Thanks...its Dirac Live LE - it corrects from 20Hz up to 500Hz only.

 

 

 

 

hmm..what about RSP-1576MKII that includes DIRAC Live Full room correction software?
