whitesox Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 ya man. At 9k, we can buy a AVR with Dirac Live liao. It opens up to many other competitive choices. At this price region than surely I would jump to AVP even though it is only 4k/60hz. No matter how, AVP is a difference league, better than AVR
rock123 Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 Looking forward to the launch pricing. Am actually keen to see if it's with 5 years warranty which I think will be worth it. Whether it is avr or avp, to me - new technology with latest chipset always excel. This is the 110 limited flagship edition which the internal components are the absolutely tuned to the best. Exciting news for Denon fans.
desray Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 AVR these days is no longer a "poor man" AV gear. It has come a long way...If a manufacturer is able to sell a AVR at a Separates pricing, then you know the components used are on par now.
ks Posted September 13, 2020 Posted September 13, 2020 Recently my AVR-X2000 wouldn't power up pressing the power button, nothing happens any repairman to take a look? maybe just a simple cheap relay replacement?
petetherock Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 Someone has the new 110th Anni: https://www.lbtechreviews.com/news/hi-fi/weve-got-our-hands-on-denon-avc-a110
DJQ Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 damn, i know its heavy. but the way he slam the AVC like that on the table. :o

No matter how, AVP is a difference league, better than AVR This not back in the 5.1 days hor. This is a 13.2 receiver. Even you buy a AVP, you still need the power amps. Even if you can afford it, I guarantee you will regret when you have to handle all the power cords and all the interconnects. For this single reason, I am so happy with my 8500. (Audio)
rock123 Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 damn, i know its heavy. but the way he slam the AVC like that on the table. :o totally agree bro. see lioa faint....

Guest wcseow Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 So now this is the look of the year? Yamaha new AVR has similar look
rayleh Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 I love the new look but I prefer a big display at the front so we can easliy see the input, sound format, vol etc.

Guest jonlee Posted September 27, 2020 Posted September 27, 2020 Isn’t PMA Denon’s stereo int amp series? Of course no display lah!
Ccyao Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Hi, last night my 6400 suddenly started to switch on and off non-stop by itself. I have no choice but to unplug the power cord. Anyone encountered this before? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
rayleh Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 Happened to my old X4100. Eventually, it died completely. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

rayleh Posted September 29, 2020 Posted September 29, 2020 I think the repair cost is not worth it. I just gave it away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
htfreak Posted October 26, 2020 Posted October 26, 2020 Wonder if this AVC-110 will be hit by the HDMI 2.1 chipset bug that leads to no signal for 120Hz HDR support with the next gen game consoles.
petetherock Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 From what I've read elsewhere, looks like it...
petetherock Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 From AVS: X8500H will not likely be replaced with a successor model until 2022/2023 However there will be some kind of DTS update soon..
petetherock Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 From AVS: Quote DTS:X Pro firmware update is to be released next week (Nov 4) to the Denon X8500H and Marantz AV8805 as well as the following: Dolby Atmos Height Speaker Virtualizer (only enabled for setups that do not have Top/Height/Dolby enabled speakers configured) Add 180Hz to speaker crossover settings Dolby Surround upmixer to support Front Wide and Surround Back (mono) Dolby MAT signaling (ie. with multi channel PCM source input, "PCM" now displayed instead of "Atmos" with xBox video streaming) DTS:X Pro (allows for 13Ch processing for DTS:X/IMAX DTS:X/DTS Neural:X) IMAX 1.1 (change default value for High Pass/Low Pass filter, new condition for IMAX "ON" setting, prohibit IMAX mode when headphones are used)
petetherock Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 A110 reviewed: https://www.avforums.com/reviews/denon-avc-a110-av-amplifier-review.18109 Quote Whether the A110 sounds better than the X8500 is hard to say, because I wasn't able to compare the two directly. As a result, I had to base my comparisons on the X8500H I reviewed back in February 2018. However, given how impressive the A110 sounds I wouldn't be surprised if there is a tiny incremental improvement due to the upgraded components and special tuning.
