Hotel, Caravan, cabin, tent, anything suitable for 2 people with car.

No! it's my son and Daughter in-law who are driving over. I did give it a thought of maybe going with them and insted of going to the Footy, try and catch up with some forum members, but I've got a bit of an achilles tendon problem (I think) at the moment.

Well it's all taken care of. A room in Ballarrat and a coach trip to the MCG has been sorted.

Moondog- I'm not walking like some kind of deformed one legged ape now, so the healing is progressing well. I think I'll manage to put in a big effort for the boys come Saturday afternoon. :biggrin:

The YHA hostel in North Melbourne is a good and cheap place to stay.You can get family rooms for about $60 /night.Very modern clean and well run establishment near Victoria markets.Walking distance to the city.

All ages stay in youth Hostels now-you will meet interesting people from 8 to 80.

Thanks Thomo but it's all arranged now. They are staying in Ballarrat and a coach to and from the MCG is also arranged. Looks nice. (Gold Sovereign Motor Inn)
