damohpi Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 1x Matched Quad of Emission Labs (EML) 300B-XLS Purchased in May 07 from Jac at jacmusic.com, the main EML distributor. They have about 50-60 hours on them at 60ma, ie. hardly run and well within their rated limits. They also have 7 months warranty remaining. Only selling due to building a new house and my hifi equipment is now in storage. The retail price for a matched quad plus shipping to Australia is 830 euros which at todays exchange rate is 1334 AUD, due to their low usage I am looking for around $1000 AUD ONO. Spec and warranty sheets, original boxes, etc are all included. http://emissionlabs.com/datasheets/EML300B-XLS.htm pm or email for more information, I am located in Brisbane.
damohpi Posted September 29, 2007 Author Posted September 29, 2007 the EML boxes, one pair per box. size comparison with an electro-harmonix 300B tube.
ALF- Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 size comparison with an electro-harmonix 300B tube.[/b] Now that's an impressive looking tube! ... The ruckman of 300Bs ... But Unfortunately I have no money, and you'd be pretty unwise to take a promisary note from the likes of me! ALF
Keith_W Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Can I clarify if these are the high output version of the 300B (essentially an 845 tube with 300B pins)?
damohpi Posted September 29, 2007 Author Posted September 29, 2007 I'm not sure about the 845 claim, in fact I see little similarity between an 845 operating point and the 300b, Va, Vg, Ia, etc are all quite different. These tubes can be used at a typical 300b operating point, or with high plate voltage and current for higher output. The only problem that may prevent them being used in some amps are the higher filament current requirements, 1.5A instead of 1.25A (for electro-harmonix, unsure about other variants), so you would need to confirm your filament transformers can supply enough current... The standard (WE 300b), higher output and maximum operating points can be seen on the page linked above..
56oval Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 $1000 ono , this is a very good price .Very tempting .Run these at 500V to 550V on the plate 18Watts to 23Watts in class A . I need something to run my Bass drivers . bamohpi I would hold on to these . Cheers.
