Kopi Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Any one knows who is the agent for Accuphase? It used to be Atlas.
kelvin73 Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 no longer Atlas. The dealership is out for local dealers to grab.
kelvin73 Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Sorry for the wrong info but i got it from Atlas sales person in the 1st place. Accuphase is still with Atlas. I auditioned the dp500, dP510 cdp, e460,e560, c2810 and p7000. Superb sound. It will be better with the preamp power amp combi....
malsound Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Any diff between DP 500 and DP510, plus what is the asking prices. Thanks in advance.
kelvin73 Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Any diff between DP 500 and DP510, plus what is the asking prices. Thanks in advance. Not much difference to my "damaged" ears but DP510 can be used as a DAC. Maybe you can contact atlas hifi directly for the price. Cheers
Joseph Lim Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I wish they put back those classic needle meters instead of the LED kind in the newer models.
composition Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 My next target ;D .... the ultimate pure class A stereo power amplifier Inheriting many outstanding technology features of the A-200, the A-70 represents a full model change from the A-65, ready to take its place as the ultimate pure class A stereo power amplifier. While reflecting this tradition, the A-70 also implements latest technology such as the ultra low-noise instrumentation amplifier principle realized in a discrete configuration, along with optimized signal input and power amplification stages, resulting in an astonishing 127 dB S/N ratio (at -12 dB gain), surpassing even the formidable earlier Accuphase stereo amplifier lineup. The output stage of the A-70 features power MOS-FETs renowned for their excellent frequency response, sonic performance, and superior reliability. In the output circuitry, ultra-heavy-gauge edgewise coils with a surface area more than three times larger than conventional units, combined with MOS-FET switches are used in place of relays, to eliminate mechanical contacts and improve long-term reliability. Top-grade materials, sophisticated circuit pattern technology, and various other measures result in low impedance and enable the realization of a damping factor of 800, which represents a two-fold improvement over the A-65.
Guest francishuang Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Looks real sweet. Any pricing available for this?
Guest SAG Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 This is the bomb! Had the honour of listening it in Japan. Sweet quiet and darkkkkkk
Guest SAG Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Last heard about the price should be a little over 20
composition Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Atlas price are very marked up. Better go HK and buy. Can save a few $K even after shipping, and you get free vacation in HK.
Guest SAG Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I agree with Jack. Btw u can only get the support from the country of origin purchase. So if u buy overseas, you are on your own if you bring back to sg. For a piece of mind buy it locally ba. I dun have the class a cos can't afford it. But will definitely get it if I can afford it.
francis wu Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Frankly, if the difference is a few hundred, no doubt safer to buy here in view of warranty issue. However, if it's a few K as Bro Composition had highlighted, then it makes sense to buy in Hong Kong! The amount you save can translate into many flights to n from HK even there are issues with the equipment repairs. Having said that, you probably won't need any repairs at all if the reputation of Accuphase is anything to go by! ;D
Epicure2 Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 The standard electrical voltage in Hong Kong is 220 volts AC, 50Hz The standard voltage in Singapore is 220V/240V, 50 Hz It should be alright if the AC Input Terminal on the amp is stated at 230V 50Hz
crittertoo Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 any idea how much the a65 cost in singapore? http://www.audiocubes2.com/product_info.php/cPath/1/products_id/606 listed it as usd13,999 I know Accuphase prices are crazy in the UK and USA. Hopefully it is not that CRAZY in Singapore. Does anyone knows any Accuphase dealers in Hong Kong? From what i gather, Hong Kong is the most reasonable priced. Thanks
tane0019 Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 http://www.price.com.hk/search.php?g=&q=Accuphase Follow the link - think they will lead you to who sell them in HK. Another link below - not HK. http://www.pricejapan.com/front/e_result_goods.php
composition Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Try mic - audio in HK. They are quite reputable and they sell the whole Accuphase range

WAY UP THERE or just a bit more? thank you folks for all your input. Reviving an old thread..... I finally called Altas this afternoon to check the price of a pair of A-200, almost fall off my chair when the sales guy quoted me the price; it's slightly less than double the price quoted to me while I was in Tokyo last year......
