How is the PQ at home? Found the PQ at best denki showroom much inferior to pana st30 n vt20, not sure is it due to setting.

The price is really attractive though.

it is exact same panel as the higher D8000 model except it does not have the Black Filter.

I was actually worried before they delivered because the same model and size if you see them in Best Denki has grayish screen.

However, when you see the same models in Samsung showroom in Vivo, it is entirely different.

Anyway, the unit has awsome PQ at home.  It is better than my old Samsung 50" B550.

let me know if the samsung D series plasma sound really that buzz and the brightness pop really that matter or not as those avsforum guys mentioned. The price is much better than panasonic

Is Panny pricing really much worst than Sammy?  The sticker prices I've seen in BD and HN on the Pannys are all very high, but the salesmen will quote you a much lower price.  If you do a hard bargain, I'm sure they can throw in a lot of freebies.  And prices are dropping every few weeks.

My old Samsung PS50B550 buzzed a little bit. Only if I put my ear so close (less than 2 feet) then I can hear a low faint buzz.  So far I cannot hear any buzz on my new PS59D550 at the same distance.  Will try closer next time.

Also, I haven't seen any brightness pop so far.

Bought the Sharp 52" 3D LED TV today at the Harvey Norman show at Expo. The PQ and black level is really good imo, I am just worry about the refresh rate of 240Hz compare to higher refresh rate by other brands but overall at this value, I shouldn't complain. As for the 3D effect, didn't really try out. Expo is not a good place to audit, limited models (e.g they didn't display Samsung Plasma TV) and kind of cramp, cannot adjust viewing distance and angle much.

still deciding between Panny 55st30 vs 58vt20....

is the V series more worth it? Find 65 too big for my living room...

55" when you watch 16:9 is pretty big, but when you watch movie 2.35:1 is not that big. Just that the 65" have a weight of 63KG. Cant use glass rack for sure.

On top of this, they were also offering an additional 2 more pairs of glasses to make it a total of 4.  Additional freebies includes a 32" LED or Soundbar and 2 x 3D titles.  After factoring in all the discounts, the final price would be $5675 which I reckon is a damm good deal for a Japan mfg set.  Anyway, the offer has lapsed and prices are back to 6.5k again.

Saw the samsung 51" in BD, the color really better than Panasonic and better under bright light but more heat generates than Panasonic.

Hopefully Samsung will fix the issues, it is a great TV.
