dXter Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Also checked the video sync to ON in the video option page, as the main page of D3 (2D) can cause the video card to run really hot.
abyors Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 At times the GPU temp exceeds 80c. Can hear the GPU fan working over time. Even standing still at the stronghold can cause this. But when I alternate-tab back to the main Windows the temperature drops back down to 50 - 60c range. Strange. I think when the GPU temperature reaches over 85 the display and music hangs. I needed a hard reboot to restart the PC. vsync is already ON :) but no help :( Now looking to replace the casing and motherboard. Maybe add more fans.
chaozhoi Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Diablo 3 shouldn't use so much resources to be able to let ur gfx card hit 80 degrees. My GFX card also won't hit 80 degrees despite my CPU is located at a corner of the room under a table, no fan or aircon blowing at it. I set everything to 'high' for D3. Play on hot afternoon also no issue. Play other games my GPU can hit 80+ easily within 15 minutes into the game :x

chaozhoi Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 perhaps you can try setting the video options to 'low' and see if the crashing persists.
abyors Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 perhaps you can try setting the video options to 'low' and see if the crashing persists. Tried that. STill crash. Maybe it's the video driver. I update to the latest nVidia driver. Before this no problem. Are you guys using nvidia cards? If so what's the driver version? Maybe I can try to downgrade.
dXter Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 ya maybe downgrade to the 2nd latest version. Read latest driver optimised for Watch dog had pple getting black screen on D3.
abyors Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 failing which, an OS reinstall might be needed Wah! So serious ah need to reinstall?

abyors Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Which GFX card are you using? I went to recheck my card. It's MSI GTX 560 Ti TF . Not GTX 285 as what I have posted earlier.

bigtree Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Ruby in helm, cain set and 2 HF rings and get rush in bounty. Less than 5 to 6 hours.
darthmax Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Guys, recently i just start to play Diablo3 again and found out lots of changes since last year... If I want to forge a Hellring, is it still the same old method? Buy the receipe, kill all the keywarden with 5 stack of Nephalem valor, got the key the go make portal and kill 2 boss each portal for organ?
dXter Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Nope not the same anymore. No point go forge Hellfire ring. That ring is useless. End game go for Royal Ring of Grandeur, Unity and Stone of Jordan. Wedding Band of Kul-Banthos is also good.
dXter Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Any idea to boost a lvl 4 monk in fastest way? Monk is very very difficult to gear. Also it is the worse performing class now. Better to do a witch doctor or a crusader imo.

I just got my crusader to lvl 70.. Thinking of getting a hellring of dexterity for my monk to boost lvl up to 70. Hellring dont have lvl restriction right?

Hellring dont have lvl restriction right? Yes there is no level requirement but the wardens dropped are inconsistent. So time to farm for keys better spent on just leveling up. The amethyst in helm also will benefit to +experience
