Idlewise4ever Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Was at Jaben earlier cos I lost my final audio heaven S ear phone ( it's $599!), and wanted to get the final audio FI-Bass. I recalled I was told its selling around 1.5k when I bought the heaven S instead, but today when I was about to make my purchase I was told that the FI-bass selling $1999! I asked the young chap to check and another young lady said the same price. I was like wtf and said it was previously much lower, then they say they can give me discount if I keen. I was very pissed and left. I was being served better previously by two older chaps last time and gave me realistic price. This time round, either Jaben has increased the price or they need to educate these young sales fellas. whatever it is, I have decided to buy from Japan on my next holiday trip. Not sure anyone got same issue with final audio FI-bass purchases.
SL Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I've got the FI Bass last year. Abit of an impulse buy but I thought they were quite special. The mono drivers have the clarity but yet quite good on the bass. All without the need for outboard amp - drive directly with IPad. I believe the price was much lower than the quoted price.

When I arrive later that day to buy the price when up to $399. Decided that they are a load of china bull shit fellas and left never to step in the shop again.

We Singaporeans are too gentlemanly...If she's in China and behaves that way, she would have kana long time ago...

Well, we do have the rights to ask for the best offer. :) But, what if we judge the issue in a different view? What if we are the boss of the a shop, will you proceed some deals that doesn't benefits your own company? We have to bear in mind that the time changes, so do the technologies. Let company A produce a pair of earphone which costs 1.5K. Why would it costs that much? Well, in audio world, we do pay for good sound quality. Drivers and the other components of the earphone are high tech stuff which need professional. In shorts, 1.5K includes the technologies of earphone, the salary of the workers, factories, not forgetting the GST charges. As a boss, will you sell the earphone less than 1.5K?? Nowadays the price of everything increases. We pay a lot but we pay for our desire and the quality. ;D Hmm, about the service issue, frankly speaking, i do enjoy the service Jaben gives ( I am not trying to create conflicts, just stating my view >< ). Well i can say that different companies have their own way in running buisness. They are all unique in their own style. And i cant deny that when uncle wilson was around, i get a good offer. :P But, as a customer, i never feel that the services gave by the other staffs in Jaben are bad no matter is a lady, or a guy. Maybe they are not as knowledgeable as uncle Wilson or they cant give you free gifts ( What can i expect? They are not the boss. They cant call the shot ), but they do try their best to entertain the customers and make them happy. There's the spirit of Jaben when i first stepped in. :o As a customer, we do have own choices to go to any shop. But, just dont throw out bad tempers to the staffs. They are just trying to earn for their living too. Let's be a gentlemen HAHA=D

But he travels alot to maintain his other shops. Wonder if he knows about this feedback? If there's a big discrepancy in prices perhaps just explain things nicely to him and see if he can do a special deal for you.

Well I got my responses which justify my initial impression. Wait! there are cases which I don't mind being ripped off. if I am being served by babes and eye candies, I don't mind paying the extras ;)
