petetherock Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 The haze is here... So which model are you using? I have a EuropAce model which I bought earlier, HEPA, Ioniser, the works... and the filters are cheaper than Sharp... Bought this at BD earlier this year, they had an offer, and gave extra spare filters and a small office unit... EPH 82H: http://www.europace.com.sg/ProductDetails.aspx?ID=45&categoryid=33

Can I ask how much you paid bro? One of the local websites stated $699 as retail, that is CRAZY! Amazon is only US$99! I don't think there is any issue if I use a converter right?
tiktokape Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 No issue with Amazon set. I'm using it for past 9 mths with transformer. Cheers! Get 250watts transformer will do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ralfale Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Which honeywell model is good? Found this on amazon is this the top end model? http://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-AirGenius5-Cleaner-Odor-Reducer/dp/B009P7SVHS/ref=pd_sim_sbs_hg_1
naglfar Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I would probably get the 17000, it looks like a workhorse.
petetherock Posted June 21, 2013 Author Posted June 21, 2013 What's the rating on this? I am thinking of pairing it with a lower transformer, save some energy.. Might leave it on in my HT place. Good deal. No issue with Amazon set. I'm using it for past 9 mths with transformer. Cheers! Get 250watts transformer will do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ralfale Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I would probably get the 17000, it looks like a workhorse. I though it looks more like a fax machine ;)
naglfar Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Might leave it on in my HT place. Good deal. If your HT is in a dedicated room, you will need a dehumidifier instead
ralfale Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Many reviews on honeywell talks about it being rather loud. Any users here can share your thoughts on this?
petetherock Posted June 21, 2013 Author Posted June 21, 2013 If your HT is in a dedicated room, you will need a dehumidifier instead Thanks, it's my living room actually - pics in my signature and in the planet equipment... cheers. Always sealed when I am away..
tiktokape Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 17000 series is ok but not QUIET. If for living room, go for 50250S. Blue air if you seeking a quiet machine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
malsound Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Many reviews on honeywell talks about it being rather loud. Any users here can share your thoughts on this? During audition ;D I was testing the Blueair with Honeywell and yes confirmed it is loud.
petetherock Posted June 21, 2013 Author Posted June 21, 2013 The 50250S is too big - looks like a bomb ;) Besides it's 21 lbs, so that will bust the shipping limits... Any Blue Air models cheap on amazon?
Wildrain Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 Many reviews on honeywell talks about it being rather loud. Any users here can share your thoughts on this? The model i have is quite ok when running in low (can work in hifi room). The medium and high can be a bit noisy BTW, i noticed the model number is 18200, seems to be the newer model from what is on amazon. http://airpurifier-pingbi.com/2012/04/210
VUE Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I would probably get the 17000, it looks like a workhorse. I have this (the older version) in my masterbed room, first time my brother saw it asking why i placed a washing machine in the room! ha.. Honeywell came out with a slightly smaller one (around 20-30% smaller), design wise the same just smaller. Now my sleeping room has the freshest, cleanest air in the house. Once a while i will dust my Hifi room and place this air cleaner in there for a hew hours. Works really well. : )
