Sunny130y Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Bought directly from Decibullz. Cost less than SGD 30 shipped. Yes, you need to mold yourself.. Just follow the video http://www.decibullz.com/how-they-work/ By the way, the correct model to order to fit the Xiaomi is BS200. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
aegis0129 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 that's an interesting product, hows the sound isolation and how does it change the sonics of the iem? the price is really nice too for a custom fit!
alamakazam Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 with that... u are actually blocking one of the tiny vent at the bore area
Sunny130y Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 that's an interesting product, hows the sound isolation and how does it change the sonics of the iem? the price is really nice too for a custom fit! So far 80pct fit compared to my real custom IEM. Sound wise actually not much improvement over the standard buds but I suppose ithats because of less than perfect fit and isolation. I'll need remold properly when I have more time. Best it is remoldable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sunny130y Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 with that... u are actually blocking one of the tiny vent at the bore area Thanks for highlighting. No wonder the thundering bass became less prominent. Will try to bore a tiny hole on the mold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
jimi1624705950 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Custom Xiaomi Piston 2 After molding Best part it's cheap and remoldable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk How do the tips fit in? Looks like there's no space- as alamakazam says, think you may gone a bit overboard :) I wonder how they sound? The attraction of customs is also the ear canal bit is also custom fitted- here, its more that the leakage of sound is the bit that is different from just the standard ear buds
Relax Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 just received mine but it sounded very thin out of the box. How long do I need to run in before it sounded good???
francis wu Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 min 50 hours. u r sure you didn't get a fake one!! :)

The attraction of customs is also the ear canal bit is also custom fitted- here, its more that the leakage of sound is the bit that is different from just the standard ear buds Thanks to the weakness highlighted by alamakzam and you, I made some adjustment. Removed the holding cup that came with the mold and inserted back the original Xiaomi tips. Now, 1. The tiny hole isn't obstructed, 2. They fit really well and comfortable now. Slightly tighter than my custom IEM but hey, I could remold later when my ears changes shape. And 3. The thundering bass is back! The much better isolation means I can turn down volume a little and everything becomes clearer. Very happy with this mod [emoji13] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Audiolab Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I just ask my colleague in Shanghai to order the new Gold edition (my 3rd set) of Xiaomi's piston from Xiaomi website. Its so amazing that he placed the order yesterday afternoon and was delivered today. Will be collecting from him next week and then compare whether the original version or the new Gold version sound better.
Sunny130y Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 just received mine but it sounded very thin out of the box. How long do I need to run in before it sounded good??? Like all IEM, you need find the best fitting tip to hear the true sonic. Once you get proper isolation, you hear fuller sound and less ambient noise. One thing I wish Xiami Piston 2 does better would the mids. It's treble is sweet and extended and bass is punchy but I think the mids could be more prominent. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

dsj88 Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 The Xiaomi website sells for US23.99 and this thread says $20. How come? Can anyone provide the English link. This site says genuine for $14.99. So confusing all these prices. http://shoppingcart.aliexpress.com/shopcart/shopcartDetail.htm
francis wu Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I reiterate, don't buy the Piston from any other vendors except Xiaomi's or u will regret! Sent from my vivo Xplay3S using Tapatalk

So confusing all these prices. http://shoppingcart.aliexpress.com/shopcart/shopcartDetail.htm You can try using a 'daigou' to order from Xiaomi China web shop. I used 65daigou and bought 3 times of 3 each order, and so far getting genuine ones. Cost wise, you pay RMB 99 each + daigou shipping + agency. Worked out to be around SGD 25-26ish each for me. tonedef1624705941 Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 This guy on HWZ claims he's selling a different version other than the one on Xiaomi's SG website. Is there such a version? ??? http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/electronics-bazaar-259/wts-bnib-xiaomi-pistons-2-0-mk301-ear-monitor-iem-earphone-excellent-authentic-iem-4610295.html
francis wu Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 A lot of bulls! There is only the Gold version now from Xiaomi. Either it's a fake or he is stocking them up by buying from other Xiaomi's site in Beijing, Hong Kong and Taiwan and making profit! Only the ignorance will fall for this!
cstanxpl Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 BTW, Xiaomi SG sales postpone to tomorrow 12pm instead.
