Hi Cash..

thank you very very much... I´ve wrote a private message to Desray because I read in the thread that he can read chinese but he doesn´t answered me yet..

He´s my last chance..  :)

As I have firmware registered.. do you think I could update it with another version of HD sir without problems? I´ve found some firms but I don´t know which one have MPS inside.

Thank you very much again for your kind help

Kind regards!

EDIT: Can I update it with this firm of AceofSnakes without activate it?

Let me give it a shot, as my Chinese is also limited.

"This is a free distributed firmware, there is activation required. After firmware upgrade, can use all its jailbroken features, including "HDSir 2014 Spring" firmware. It can be revert back and forth with the original firmware. There is no further upgrade, modifications or customer support service for free this free firmware."

Hope this helps

I flashed my BDP 450 with Cash Diamond ,I am still unable to play copied bluray discs ,,all the copied Pirated discs shows "UNKNOWN DISC" ;(

have u tried to flash back to ver4.04?

do activate it after flashing.

try n see if the player can sense the disc instead of showing "unknown disc"

how to activate it after flasing 4.04 ? Activator right ? is there a way to change bluray zone

Tried the below ..still no luck..it is a new player

Turn power ON. Press HOME key. Select Initial setup.

Using remote, enter 3344. In new sub menu select region

A (USA/Japan)

B (UK/Europe/Australia)

C (Russia/China/India)

Press Return key.

Player is now ready.

Hi all,

I'm in the UK and bought a BDP-450 last week. Using the very helpful guides on here, I downloaded custom firmwares from a link provided by one of the chaps in the other discussion, and went from 2.09 -> 2.05 -> 4.0.4 which I am currently using.

I only really wanted to have a multiregion blu-ray and DVD player as I don't do any of this network sharing stuff.

My question is, would I see any benefits in trying to flash upgrade to 5.10? I think most of the improvements I've read about seem to be concerned with files on external storage devices, network shares and so on.

The only improvements I *think* there might be is that :

a) physical discs might load a bit faster

b) some of the newer 'problem' discs (like Brave 3D) now work without problems

I'm also a bit worried about 'bricking' my player, now that it's running 4.0.4 and seems to be ok at the moment! If I *did* upgrade to 5.10, I assume it's a matter of flashing the 'transition to 5.X' firmware first, and then the relevant '5.10 JAN 2014' firmware afterwards. Would I need to do any of that MAC code, serial number and PioX stuff on my PC again in order to get the codes?

Sorry for all the questions, guys!!!

Thanks  :)

If u flash to ver 5... u got to use a different activator...

Its not free..

I would jus stay at ver 4..

I dont need the external extra stuff.

Only needed the multi region for bluray.

Just a note to say - I found out last night that it's a good idea to change the region on your player BEFORE you put the disc in.

I put a Region A blu-ray disc in my player, and the thing froze on me! I had to reboot and quickly get the disc out so I could change region first, then play the disc.

Cheers

The Russians have 'free' versions of 5.10, see P5 of this forum. The advantages of some versions of 5.10 are speedier loading, plays all BD isos so far & plays some DVD isos (with a disc in the tray). It is not so good with MKVs - some will not fast forward or rewind. As stated in my previous posts, avoid the 'activation free' HDSir CFW for the BDP-450 as it has Cinavia.

I had the same problem registering - you have to register whilst in the original language. Make a note of where the boxes are in English mode then go back to Russian to register.

Have you tried installing the transition to 5.X CFW before downgrading to V4? I seem to remember it worked for me with the BDP-450.
