In the foyer were a couple of very interesting cars, especially this exquisite Jaguar XK 120, once owned by Dave Gilmour. The watches are also very beautifully engineered, there is a strong collaboration between Jaguar and Bremont, two wonderful British engineering companies. Looks like an early 90's Williams in there??? Go Nigel!! 2

The Toyota Century. Considered the Rolls Royce of Japan, it sits at the top of the luxury heirachy, above Lexus. Reserved for CEOs and heads of state. Powered by a 5 litre V12 (that sounds like an F1 car with a good exhaust fitted). And, they're cheaper than I was expecting, you can get a 2001 Century for around 20k! a 1997 example is 17k. I have absolutely no need for it but the want is strong. Well, I now have a need for one as I have just quit my job that provided a company vehicle. Am I going to import a Century, and drive in V12 luxury? You better believe it. Hope to have one in my driveway within a couple of months. 3

I mean you gotta post some pics when you get it. I see there are some for sale domestically of prior imports... 1

Obviously its a more complicated drawn out process but worth the saving. My wife would much prefer me to get a Crown Majesta with the 4.6L V8, its basically a Lexus LS460 with a Toyota badge. That is a VERY nice car, but my heart lies with the Century. Wife owns a new Camry hybrid so we will have one very fuel efficient black Toyota, and one very not fuel efficient black Toyota. Probably still more fuel efficient than my RX8 though! 1

No wanky decals on your classic, mate. Here is my old TVR Tuscan from the old country: 400hp and 1100kg of knife-wielding assassin. The bastard thing. I miss it. 3

Are they still in business? I think I remember a prototype or concept built be 4 years ago? 1

Yes new beast blew up the Cosworth F1 dyno in testing and built in-conjuction with the world famous Gordon Murray so yes they are back after a group of TVR owners bought the models and rights from a Russian tycoon who sat on them for 15 years or so and never did anything, enthusiasts were so peeved they clubbed together to buy back the company.
