Audiolab Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 http://www.curiouscables.com/buy.html He already has a version for Hugo. So not considered Custom made I believe.
InnocentBlood Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 I don't really understand, what do you mean by a version for the Chord Hugo? The chord Hugo has a micro usb connection so I was just wondering if the cable(s) that are making the rounds currently will fit the chord Hugo? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
InnocentBlood Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Unfortunately, no. You can always contact Rob from Curious to check whether he can make one. But I'm not sure whether he will offer his money back guarantee on custom orders. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Thank you :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

silencer13 Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 awesome :) would you share your impressions please? Well, I don't really have that much experience with USB cables, so I'm not a good reviewer for these cables. For me, they replaced a Gourd Audio USB cable which cost me $99. Immediate impression is that there are more details, and soundstage is more precise. I haven't really done any serious A/B comparison, so I can't give better feedback until I do so. But compared to a stock USB cable, it's definitely very much better. The sound really opens up and is more enjoyable with the Curious. Only problem I have with the Curious is that it's rather stiff. Because I have limited space on my desktop, connecting my Macbook Pro to my Chord Hugo means that I have to bend it quite a bit, much like the picture in the Curious Cables website: The result is that after some time, the micro usb connector on my Hugo has been loosened and bent slightly to one side due to the force of the cable pulling the connector to one side. Not a very big deal, but I wonder if it'll break off one of these days.

seagull1624706132 Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 Below is my impression of the usb cable from Curious. This is with reference to the rig below: Set-up - Source - Macmini - Amp - Accuphase - Dac - Esoteric - Speakers - Harbeth - USB - Absolute Transmission Soundstage - comparable Vocals - more luscious and seductive (female only) Bass - comparable Treble - a tad brighter in comparison Details - slightly more detailed retrieval
