Audi Says 2.1 Million Vehicles Have Emissions-Cheating Software what will happen here I wonder?
tbln Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Should not have much impact locally as only cars with diesel Euro 5 engines are affected. Don't believe too many of those were sold here. ;D However, if the software were used in other cars........ ???

Boxerfan88 Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Am not a VW owner, but as an observer, it's better to keep the current dual personality of emission mode + power:dirty mode [emoji1]. The solution is likely an ECU firmware reflash with permanent clean mode (albeit lower torque/power). Best is to wait and see what LTA mandate VW to do. Meanwhile enjoy the power [emoji12] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Have hardly seen any TDI Q3s in Singapore. You are correct about the group having to deal with the opening of Pandora's box. Hopefully, corners have not been cut elsewhere in the other brands in the family.:(

YH Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 We should have seen this coming. With the establishment of programmable and re programmable electronic control units in modern fuel injected cars, I don't even blame VW for this. Are we even sure that they are the only ones doing this?

There was no traction on a standard twin blower rabbit. The salesman even told me it's like that for a high power car I told its a joke. The Honda Civic type R which I have tested is better, but I figured was still too expensive as I found a 911 in Japan that had some accident damage for sale at a song. I imported it and paid lta. With an OmV of $40,000 and Coe of $3000. I paid just about the Low end of $100k plus parts some body panels need to repair the car.
