ALTK Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 The common reaction to most of the drivers when something suddenly happen on the road is...brake jump gar liao! ;D
econav Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 good luck for those who make a truck driver...brake jump gar liao.... and those on the next lane.
Doggie Howser Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Always test the limits of your car on the track not on the road. To loose grip means you are doing an insane stunt. :P I used to go to Sepang regularly so I managed to test these tyres out in controlled conditions. But the point about lack of feedback is important because tyres age. Not just treadwear but also because the compound loses its effectiveness over time. Not having this progressive feedback means you never know. When it's wet and when you have old tyres, you can't be sure when you'll lose traction. With older tires, this can happen even when you are at speed limits.
Doggie Howser Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Speaking of technology, my collision warning came on earlier today and instinctively I hit the brakes. Good thing too the driver of the car in front performed a very sudden brake manouvre. And in the dark I wouldn't have noticed it till maybe a second or so later. I had ample warning to stop but that split second just gave me just that little bit more confidence.
Boxerfan88 Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Very true with old tires that have hardened. Can lose traction easily on damp road. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
canoli Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 So far Michelin PSS does what the car is capable of whenever the driver wills it
