Spearmint Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Visited a Lavender Farm on the weekend, decided to use the Nikon D5300 with the swivel screen to save getting down on the ground for low shots. #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 The owner of the farm 6
Tony M Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Interested to see some more Tony especially at the 300mm end of your range- Thanks for the good wishes, Guys. Mick, I haven't taken a lot at the full 300mm yet, other than some test shots of no general interest. But, here's one of a local family that's been hanging around on our side "lawn" lately: 3
mickj1 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Thanks Tony - looks like you've got a winner (and a good eye to boot)! Cheers mick
Tony M Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Thanks Mick. but it's Mrs M that keeps snapping the roos - and she has always had nice eyes. 2
Rob181 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Thanks Mick. but it's Mrs M that keeps snapping the roos - and she has always had nice eyes. Who...Mrs M or the roos...
Newman Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 Went to Healesville Sanctuary today to try our little guy out in the baby carrier before I head off doing day walks with him, Here's a few from today Keith, I really enjoyed the gentle humour and upbeat mood in this set. Thank you and looking forward to more.

Jake Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Just had a crack at lightning photography. Get getting rain on the lens which made it tricky, and of course I missed some of the best cracks. 10
Rob181 Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 I missed some of the best cracks. Haven't we all... 3

Spearmint Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I went to the Sandringham Yacht Club yesterday to try and get some photos of yachts under sail. It was good fun, and something a little different for me. Here are a few from yesterday #1 3 against 1, although I'm not sure the 3 are up to the task #2 Whoa, that was close #3 There were a couple of Jet Skis also amongst the boats #4 Then stopped on the way home and grabbed a few shots of this couple out for a walk with their dog. 8
ArthurDent Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Don't look at this for too long. It'll do your eyes in #1, blur3.jpg, Nikon D750, AF-S NIKKOR 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR, 24mm f4.0 1/10 sec ISO-1600. 11
Newman Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Don't look at this for too long. It'll do your eyes in #1, blur3.jpg, Nikon D750, AF-S NIKKOR 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR, 24mm f4.0 1/10 sec ISO-1600. Very successful, Ken.
ArthurDent Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Very successful, Ken. Thanks Newman and I assume you mean as a panning shot and not for doing your eyes in. Or it could be both It would have been even better if the guy on the bike behind had been going a tad faster so he was a longer blur as well.
Newman Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Yes, as a panning shot of course. I like the colours, the spinning wheels, the overall look, and of course the skill. 1
Jake Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 1 more lightning from the other night. PP is essential. 4
