Pollution????  :love

If that was the case he would most likely be some flawed super hero running around with his undies on the outside of his trousers.

Love that first one, Al. Have you tried getting some more contrast/detail out of the black blob at the bottom/centre?

thanks @@~Spyne~, hadn't thought of that, not the kind of thing proficient at but your welcome to have a go…or anyone else. be interesting what can make of it :)

ps in the second I was really playing with the zoom ability of the lx100 seeing what it was like the, if you look at the first shot the guy with the paddle is the little black dot sticking out the water on the far right on the horizon, so I thought I'd zoom in to see what I'd get  :)

Easy to be subtle when the base image is so good and my PS skills are so poor. :D

I'm flattered :D

Hey Al, Your best shots yet imho, must be the 4/3 sensor, he he _ the lens helps no doubt but a camera that's fun to shoot with is the key ..

thanks murrmax, hehe the 4/3rd sensor definitely helps that making a compact camera in the lx100 a viable option for shots like that I reckon. ps while I said those shots were "from the beach"  I was actually upto my armpits wading in the sea and lifted the camera as high up possible to take those shots :D the shots I took of the kids playing in the water in that lovely setting was well worth the effort as well.

from all accounts the sunset at the same beach yesterday evening was even more stunning...sometimes nature helps create these beautiful scenes and all you have to do is press *click* :D

The collared sparrowhawks have produced a couple of fledglings:

fledglings

smaller fledgling - I'm not sure whether the size difference is male/female or due to different birth dates.

Cheers

Is there any way I can stop this thread appearing or lock myself out of it? Every time I see the images people post, especially @@mickj1, it makes me want to rush out and buy a digital SLR with any thought of whether I can afford it, when I am going to find the time to use it or whether I even have a little of the skill required to use it in such a wonderful way. It has only been by herculean effort that I not succumbed (so far).
