ArthurDent Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 (edited) Some pics from the Avalon Air Show on Saturday. Way bigger crowd than last time. Good thing it wasn't real hot. The F-35 did fly. Yay. Still prefer the Raptors and why aren't we getting them instead. Took us an hour just to get out of the car park. Edited March 6, 2017 by KenTripp 9
ArthurDent Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 (edited) Some more pics from Avalon. Look at this pic for a while and when you're feeling slightly unwell, that's how I felt going up the gangway at the other end of Connie with no hands free to hang onto anything. L J T Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 This guy or gal was in my garden and it was a perfect opportunity to try out my new macro lens.I found it challenging to keep focus with such a narrow depth of field while hand holding. 7

Was such a great place, remember going there when I was young . Luckily no one has tried to renovate, so still pretty much the same.....with out the ww1 tank out the front.

Spearmint Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 We had a wonderful time on the Gold Coast catching up with family and friends. A great night out with a mate and his band, and a day out on the water plus wandering around Stradbroke Island. Now home and back to reality This trip I decided to visit a number of waterfalls, but unfortunately none of them had a lot of water flowing over them. The microclimate in the rainforests was a refreshing change from the humidity and ambient temperatures during the week. Still I managed a few panoramic and a number of HDR's which I'll play around with over the next few days. Maybe we should've headed over to the North Island of NZ instead, they've had a massive deluge. Viewing the images others are posting of many of the waterfalls I've captured on previous trips, the water flow is massive. 2
