hired goon Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 Mr. Laurie Keet Nikon D750 camera + Sigma 150-500 lens @ 500mm, f/6.3, ISO 900, 1/500 sec, cropped. Hard to get a shot of these buggers, they move around so fast nibbling on the nectar of the flowers. I managed to score only two or three decent images out of 50 shots --Geoff 6

Luc Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 Took this the other day early morning and I really liked the sand. There's no marks just a shadow of the fishing line and a faint tidal mark on the left. The flathead went back into the surf a few seconds after. 3

hired goon Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 (edited) Out and about on a walk through the local nature reserve: A wild, crazy and probably vicious budgie. I feared for my life when I spotted him in the distance. They can nibble you to death (apparently). This kookaburra had the right idea - get away from the killer budgie as quickly as possible. edit: actually I think it's a pale-faced rosella, but I prefer to think of it as a budgie.
