We're finally starting to decorate and finish our "new" place. Noting having something suitable in terms of colours, I had to dig through my archive. I never did anything with this photo when I took it some 9 years ago, but the colours/tones would work in the location we had in mind (between two copper/brass wall lights)....its a shame it wasn't taken with my D850.....I'd dearly love to return to Karijini to try again with a high quality, functioning camera (this was taken with a 5DII and the sensor was rooted - grey import, never again)

Not what you would expect at a lighthouse ?.  This is Moorine Maurader, an escapee from an art exhibition called CowParade which was held in Margaret River in 2010.

Brilliant, love it. There should be more public art in my opinion.

Oh there have been some shockers! The Yellow Peril sits unloved somewhere in a park.  I don’t count any of this industrial rubbish designed by some think tank of  designers on freeways.  Stuff like the yellow French Fries on the Melbourne Toll Road would be money better spent supporting the poor.

We need a lot more small, inexpensive art that employs individual artists at smaller expense, not the huge mega dollar stuff. That said the pigs and balls in Rundle Mall are absolute Adelaide Icons, even if they don’t particularly float my boat.

Exploring Santa Elena Canyon - Big Bend National Park.
I grew up collecting rocks and fossils.
Even today, I look at that last stratified layer near the water and wonder how old it is and what fossils are hidden there?????
