Geez. These are real eye candy and if they sound even half as good as they look they would be superb.

What kind of amp were these being used with and what would you say is the overall sound characteristic?

Cheers.

Nice looking speakers. Obviously the cables are connected to the bottom of the enclosures. Any challenges or issues with this arrangement?

Yes indeed they are eye candy! I own a pair of ti10k, the bigger brother which in the photos you can see in the background!

Sound is a house JBL sound but with lots of midrange and high end clarity. Lots of air and a very open soundstage compared to the typical. Very enjoyable and always a surprise when I sit down and listen to them.

The ti6k is a little more forward in presentation, whereas the ti10k is a little laid back. ti10k goes deeper in the bass region, but can be hard to control.

I am currently using a Perreaux i200 integrated amp, very neutral and a beast of an amp!

The ti6k is very easy to drive, I have tested it with a cheapy EL34 based tube amp it really warms it up and sounds magical.

It's very easy to.. I use a soft sponge type mat that my kids play on, then lean it on its side and let it lie down on it's side.

These speakers are tri-wire!

My ti10k are quad wire!!! OMG.... imagine having 4 sets of high end cables running into it?!!

WD all the same though, a sales a sale isn't it.

My reluctance was that the person who bought it isn't an audiophile.. hopefully he treats the speaker with care and enjoys it thoroughly!

Do you still have the 10’s? Would you ask the guy you sold the 6’s to if he wants to sell them?
