There should be no participation from commercially interested pseudo-science Salesmen with mumbo-jumbo theories - grifters and shills induce group polarisation and confirmation bias, which is powerful and can actually impact perception, and creates false positives. I am aware that you do offer home trial (the good olde take home and try type of trial...buy or don't buy is ok)...along with a few other dealers that I am aware of who do offer that privilege too...namely Alvin of Denafrips, Robert and Yum Yum. As an end user... it is very much appreciated. Buying blind, especially with tweaks (including cables) sucks...or rather high chance that it will suck. On a side note....AndrewC does bring up excellent points especially "every individual should do shootouts for themselves". Imagine a scenario where... for example...the dealer is in the same room breathing down your neck and planting seeds of "shiok" in your mind. Like taking candy from a kid. Unless it is a close kaki (could be dealer) ... best to do comparison alone. Actually...I see nothing wrong in this friendly up and coming shootout with dealer being there. Make it like a fun party as the scene is kinda slow now. However...in a situation...like a casual short home trial kind of thing and dealer "must come along" as a condition... I would RUN the other way. ;D Wah kao...super high chance he has intention of BBQing you.

I second that for undisturbed home trial at your comfort level and also the chance to experiment different positioning of accessories that may ultimately tweak to our liking. However the true fact is dealers are also afraid end users will spoil their item and thereafter claim that it was originally faulty. Personally I find it regardless if the dealer is present or not. I did rebuke a dealer previously when he came over for home trial when my system without his item was truly more superior. Importantly we must have a clear idea if the change is to our liking or not and not be swayed by dealer's words even if we decide not to rebuke the dealer out of respect. Bro AnsuzSIN came to my place a couple of times and I can say that he is not a person who will influence the owner during home trial. He will let owner listen and gladly accept his items back without 2nd question if owner deems the item unsuitable. Definitely no hard selling. I am also interested in the shootout if time permits. ;D

Sound wise IMHO there are many other areas worth more attention and I would put my $$$ in speakers, electronics, PC/IC, power supply, etc...this would be one of very last. At least they are sincere to find out the "truth" if it impact the sound quality for better or worse off. Toilet roll cable lifter- can fly kite- one must see the cable quality if it is well shielded or not from RF/EMI. Buy with confidence- the worst case Bro AnzusSin just take back like Ansuz power cord- ie not shiok. U go test drive a car only 15 mins the car u like. Where got Home trial- given the big price difference of car vs audio. Let us know the outcome of the shoot out. For those who commented a lot please bring your cable lifter to do A/B testing to find out the outcome.

If whole sys fitted by lifters, they will need spend lotsa of time to take in n out. Even when people go to hifi shows to take pictures, they took pictures of things that most people cannot afford. TO SHOW OTHERS. That means they buy hifi also to show others. (Above is my general assumption of most people, but there are exceptions) They did not go there to learn new things. Good systems take ages to sound good, to get better. You CANNOT hear the best of any system set up in just a few hours for any shows.
