SoSosound Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Previously the EX-M1 was $2898, not too sure about the current prices - best if you check directly with Alvin. Thank you!!
benlzy Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 No Prob. So which you think is a good upgrade from HPDA? Thanks for your offer. Currently running in the plixir Elite conditioner with the upgraded receptacles. Once settled down, will arrange for a listen to virtuoso. If you're liking a neutral, excellent high extension and tight bass but quiet and dynamic cord, the 6700 might be the one for you. But it's pricey, about S$2.5k. Virtuoso Ultra is also neutral, there's more excitement in the tone, more expressive, though the highs are not as refined as the acrolink. More flexible though, and new was around US$1250. Can source for second hand ones. The cardas clear was also neutral, but the bass extension and slam was quite more apparent than either of those cords. Overall very open soundstage and good vfm if you manage to find second hand, which is around S$750

benlzy Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Misspelled 'Vinshine' as 'Vishine' hahaha, and still highlighted in red ;D

Pismo Mac Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 Can I just get a feel of which speakers are being driven by this integrated amp or the monoblocs? Is anyone using these as part of a home theatre/stereo setup? I like the idea that there is HT bypass. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
benlzy Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 The EX-M1+ is the one with HT Bypass. I'm using the ex-m1 in a 2.1 stereo setup - you're welcomed to give it a listen just to have a feel of the kinki sound. Just pm me if you're interested. After months of listening, I still find the ex-m1 performs better in high gain, an issue for me because my speakers are quite sensitive and any volume past "4" is bordering loud.. haha. Can't finely adjust the volume if using in high gain :/

benlzy Posted August 15, 2019 Posted August 15, 2019 What speakers are you using? Spatial audio M4TM. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Gs Tan Posted August 16, 2019 Posted August 16, 2019 Alvin is right, Spatial Audio M3Tm match well with Kinki B7. I used Karan 180 mk2 with M3Tm b4, it was as cool as cucumber. when I move Karan to drive my Dynaudio floor stander (4 ohms), it generate more heat. it got different sound experience . I like both the set up now and enjoy my music more than ever and that's important.
zephyr11 Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 might i ask how much is this amp going for? looking at a new setup this might be just what i need, well, more a want than a need... :P
benlzy Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 Do you mean the chassis is more 'solid' or internally better designed?
zephyr11 Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 It used to be $2898, not sure now. this is SGD right? think i'll mail them to check. thanks!
zephyr11 Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 Bro consider the musical fidelity m5si.Its better built then the kinki thanks for the suggestion, will check it out.
thyewb Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Better QC and sounds just as good Better QC? Have you encountered any problem with Kinki amp?
benlzy Posted February 7, 2020 Posted February 7, 2020 Other than the optical vol pot being slightly jiggly and that if you turn the vol very slowly to the right it might decrease vol instead of increase (known issue), no other issues. But I've been adjusting vol via remote so it's not an issue for me.
thyewb Posted August 15, 2020 Posted August 15, 2020 Some information for Kinki amp owner who like to change op amps. https://www.dagogo.com/kinki-studio-ex-m1-integrated-amplifier-review/ https://www.dagogo.com/audio-blast-return-discrete-opamp-roller/ Can buy from http://www.diyaudio.vn/ who carry Burson, Sparkos and Sonic Imaginery brands to save little shipping cost.
xllms Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 Hi everyone, is this thread still alive? I see much posts on the M1/M1+ And B7. Anyone have tried the M7 power amp to share?
