A walk down memory lane for the XP "old birds"...do you still have this XP Polo tee?

I'm still wearing it at home. Idea first came up back in 2004 and only materialized almost 2 yrs later IIRC. Can't believe it is more than a decade already and who would have known that we XP forum can survive for so long! :)

And I still wear that and the SVS tee shirt. Met a few bros who delivered it..

Was it Dandon who made it?

Yep...

The "logo" was designed by me back then...and still used in this forum till this very day. Over the years, I had designed many logos for X'tremeplace and even websites etc. I recalled back then I actually proposed the idea to create something like a HardwareZone Portal replete with product reviews ranging from Home Theater to Hi-Fi and IT electronics but alas it did not materialize...Queks and the Mods decided to stick with Echoloft style of information and knowledge based sharing instead of "jack of all trades".

So to answer some of the noobies questions on why we did not have a dedicated home page etc...it is more of an unanimous decision made by us. Many didn't realize that majority of the "old birds" such as myself started off as member with HWZone forum (before bought over by SPH)...abnd ever since HWZone started with paid membership subscription to enjoy certain "deluxe" privileges, a bunch of us decided to join X'tremeplace forum and the rest is history...

Some notable bros

Jason Yeo and Jag : our bass meisters

Quest : SVS MO king

Audio: our latest coolest tech man

Francis Woo : the demo session and meet up man, plus the frequent traveler and bringer of goodies

C722: finance wizard and TV King

JeffOng: man with most cool TVs and gear

Sadly some bros have gone?

The Polo Tee reminds me of the good old days.  :-*

Sadly I gave up the HT room to my daughter who has grown up. Now I have the stereo set-up in the hall but hardly use it as now my interest is cycling and table tennis. ;)

Glad to see DanDon and bro Quest still lurking around here... :)

Living a healthy lifestyle is more important than spending $$$ on home theater.

Seldom visit XP nowadays. Occasionally click XP to look see look see.  ;)

When age is catching up, health issues arise. So better to exercise to keep fit when possible.

Quite a number of Bros who came to my place for shoot out have quietly left Xtremeplace although I still have their contacts :)

Went to your house for shoot-out a couple of times. We're FB friend but seldom see you post. ;)

Well things and people may change...for better or for worse, one thing did not change for this forum... Its remains true to its humble roots...a place for home theater and hi-fi enthusiasts where membership is *free*. Donation is purely based on voluntary basis. There is no hidden charges or agenda. For how long are we able to sustain it moving forward, quite frankly we are not sure but we hope every members who joined the forum can benefit in some form or another during their stay here...be it getting better deals through our Mass Order (MO) channels, getting advice and help from other members on your HT related issues, post your stuff for sale or even sharing your views on various topics like movie reviews, HT product reviews or even making friends via general chat.

As always, wish u all the best in your endeavors and drop by and say hi.
