YANG Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Hand carry lo... Most of the Australian etailers I see... Don't do export. Except JBHiFi. But they to date, don't carry UB820.
Doggie Howser Posted November 26, 2018 Author Posted November 26, 2018 I believe 820/9000 are specialists only. But you can get the 420 and lower models in JB and Harvey.
YANG Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 Arriving tomorrow. Less than $600 here. Can’t wait. I think buy from Australia is more economical than ordering from Germany liaoz... I tried to place an order from SOTEL.de above... thru PAYPAL after conversion it's close to $700!!! At least Australian price @ $600 can get additional tax claim some more!

ncw Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Anybody using Panasonic ub820 from US?Is it multi voltage?
Jose Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 I'm interested in the player too. Where are you getting it?
Doggie Howser Posted January 16, 2019 Author Posted January 16, 2019 Why US? https://www.bestbuy.com/site/panasonic-dp-ub820-streaming-4k-ultra-hd-hi-res-audio-wi-fi-built-in-blu-ray-player-black/6278202.p?skuId=6278202&intl=nosplash US$499 https://www.westcoasthifi.com.au/product/panasonic-dp-ub820-ultra-hd-blu-ray-player/ A$549
YANG Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 It seems logical to buy U.S sets as most of our regular HDBD releases are same region as U.S mah... since no one cares about DVD compatibility anymore. WestCost HiFi... international shipping doesn't seems to be available. Plus, it's locked to B zone for HDBD. https://www.westcoasthifi.com.au/shipping-returns-policy/
YANG Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 Panasonic SG hv Home-Entertainment section rebooted liaoz... now waiting for MAGIC to happen!!!
desray Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 When is this player coming to Singapore? I'm going to test it with my new upcoming projector, the JVC N7.
Doggie Howser Posted January 16, 2019 Author Posted January 16, 2019 A. A lot of recent movies on FHD BDs are region free B. Who watches BD when got UHD and can get cheap player for region free
Doggie Howser Posted January 17, 2019 Author Posted January 17, 2019 Buy UHD player to play FHD facepalm
YANG Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Buy UHD player to play FHD facepalm for me is using separate FHD player to play regular BDs lah... UHD is like modern "mini laserdisc" where no region coding is a major concern. However, different individuals hv different "ideological" setups. Some goes separate gears for different purpose, some looks for minimalistic setups.
Doggie Howser Posted January 17, 2019 Author Posted January 17, 2019 Everything I play these days are UHD discs. Or streaming. FWIW I had a region B locked Oppo 203 before and playing a number of Region A discs I imported from Amazon and they all played fine. I think most companies relaxed the region coding towards the end.
kikoman Posted January 17, 2019 Posted January 17, 2019 Same here DH. I fully agreed on your last few posts. After going into UHD, I never turn back to FHD.
