cazzesman Posted September 23, 2022 Author Posted September 23, 2022 The 6th and final season of - The Good Fight. Always brilliant viewing Season 2 of - The Capture was pretty good. I liked the twist at the end Suspect - based on a Michael Robotham novel. Not a fan of the lead Detective's acting but the rest is okay. Finally finished Season 2 of Ozark. Most excellent TV viewing. cazzesman Posted February 7, 2023 Author Posted February 7, 2023 (edited) For those that love good TV, you are doing yourself an absolute disservice if you haven't watched 'Happy Valley' The finale (end of Season 3) just ended on the weekend. There will be no Season 4. The show has been mentioned elsewhere on SN (before we got scolded ). Stunning, stunning, stunning. If you can't find it to stream, then look out for it a JB HiFi in the coming months. Well worth getting the Box Set. The finale was beautifully done and provide 100% satisfaction. Happy Valley’s finale was the most-watched television programme of the year so far, as 7.5 million viewers tuned in to watch the conclusion of the BBC drama on Sunday night. The Guardian’s five-star review described the show as “one of the greatest trilogies in modern television”, Regards Cazzesman Edited February 7, 2023 by cazzesman 1
cazzesman Posted February 27, 2023 Author Posted February 27, 2023 If you are a fan of Ted Lasso then get into Shrinking. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15677150/?ref_=nm_knf_t_4 Creators - Brett Goldstein (Plays Roy Kent in Ted Lasso) - Bill Lawrence - Jason Segel Eps 1-3 were a nice slow burn. Not alot of huge laughs, but just slowly ramping up. Eps 4 and 5 are an absolute hoot. Extremely well written and the comedy timing of the actors is note perfect. Quickly becoming a favorite show. Jessica Williams from The Daily Show, steals every scene she is in. One to look out for in the future. Regards Cazzesman 3
cazzesman Posted March 22, 2023 Author Posted March 22, 2023 https://www.imdb.com/title/tt15568702/ Litvinenko - dramatisation. 4 parter. It didn't get the greatest of reviews but I really enjoyed this. Amazing true story. Regards Cazzesman 1

Regards Cazzesman Agree 100%...LOVE this show and it might be sacrilege, but after finishing season 1, I like it more than Ted Lasso (which I also love) Took a couple of eps to get the character dynamics going and just gets better and better with every episode. You are correct, Jessica Williams is BRILLIANT in this.!!!! So many good performances from the whole cast - special mention to Ted McGinley (Derek) who has a small but perfect part as Liz's (Christa Miller) husband. 1
cazzesman Posted March 28, 2023 Author Posted March 28, 2023 The Gold - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt14063678/ Rabbit Hole - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5822112/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 Both of these are good fun. The Gold is about the $26 million gold bullion heist in London in 1983. Rabbit Hole is another solid Keifer effort that is full of twists and turns. Regards Cazzesman

cazzesman Posted May 27, 2023 Author Posted May 27, 2023 This is about shows I love but I have to say............... Citadel - Wow what pile of doo doo. I have struggled to get through Eps 6 but I'm out now. Just goes to show, that even when spending $300 million you just can't polish a @#$%. They looked up the words like - Derivative, 'Cliched', Action flick, in the Oxford and said................yep, we ticked all those boxes. If it follows its natural course to the end, the Hero, with amnesia, (They all have amnesia in this show as it helps them forget what they signed on for), will wake up and realise it was all a dream. Just terrible acting, writing and storytelling. TERRIBLE. Oh - so we had 48 jumps in Eps 6, going from one timeline to another. Oh and the real baddy is not the baddy but that person's mother. And their partner is their enemy from another life. And that child is his and he didn't know. And why does a nuclear sub have no sailors onboard to protect the nukes. And, and, and, and @#$% me - Stanley Tucci get out while you still can and save your Street Cred FFS!!!!! Eps 6 was just woeful. The editing looked like the Editor was just fed up and wanted to leave at 5.00pm to pick up the kids from school. I'm thinking the Russo Bro's will be pretty embarrassed with this effort. I'm off to watch Arnie in Fubar. Atleast I will get a laugh. Regards Cazzesman 1
Steff Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 @cazzesman didn't last past ep02, a treacly mix of messers Bourne and Bond, Tucci can't lift that script out of the muck, no one can. 1

I watched the preview and and that was enough from me... I really struggle with shows that completely ignore procedures (when characters work for an agency etc), or jump the shark. That can be fine if the premise of the show is over the top action, but not if it's got any attempt at intellect And from the reviews, looks like I dodged a bullet.

Plots are all silly and the writing is often idiotic Occasionally other ones have actors that can act but not well enough to rescue the film
cazzesman Posted May 29, 2023 Author Posted May 29, 2023 Very good question. My answer is $300 million should buy you some quality plotting and some decent writers. Someone, somewhere, somehow somewho, have seriously fallen down on the job with this one. If you are going to take yourself this serious (there is no tongue in cheek humor in this show) then play for keeps. I mean, in Eps6 the entire Nuclear Sub scene was just woeful. Utter, utter C grade set up and execution. I get that these sorts of shows a beyond farfetched, but there are ways and means to tell a story and atleast make it 'Fun'. Regards Cazzesman 1
cazzesman Posted May 29, 2023 Author Posted May 29, 2023 (edited) This week has been a series of Tragic TV loses in our house hold. The truly stunning 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' came to an end. A brilliant finale. How joyous it was. Writers, Cast and all the rest were simply superb. They deserve all the accolades that will surely come their way. Season 8 of 'Inside No 9' ended. And what an ending it was. Ewwwww not a good way to go. Atleast there is a Season 9 planned. And rightly so. Season 3 of 'Ted Lasso' and the finale of the show, airs this week. Another wonderful ensemble of Writers and Actors. I know many critics are not happy with Season 3, but my wife and I are still loving it. It has Hannah Waddingham and Brett Goldstein on screen each episode, so what's not to love. For those that are a fan of Jason Sudeikis - He is terrific in a brand-new episode of 'First We Feast'. https://firstwefeast.com/video/jason-sudeikis-embraces-da-bomb-while-eating-spicy-wings-hot-ones My wife and I will also finish watching the Finale to Season 2 of 'Perry Mason'. Another quality series. Season 2 was abit more of a slow burn early on, but after Eps 3 if kicked into gear. Well worth a look. Time to find another 'Great' show. Not just a 'Good' show. They are like hen's teeth, but the search is on. The return of Raylan is not far away, so hopefully the previous high standards, remain intact. Happy viewing. Regards Cazzesman Yes, really going to miss Ted Lasso...I've loved Series 3, although the first 2-3 eps were a little slower. Such a great series and Brett Goldstein was born to be Roy Kent. We started Platonic on Apple TV over the weekend. Not expecting great things but it was a solid first few episodes. If you haven't liked Seth Rogan previously, don't expect anything different, but I quite like the dynamic that he a Rose Byrne have had in the things they've worked on. And we also started Silo on Apple TV. Really wasn't sold on this after watching the preview a month ago, but episode 1 was very good. 1
