Well, sadly they can't all be the Wire or Deadwood or Homicide Life on the Street.  🙂   I hear what you are saying about Sheridan.   He has a formular that can be abit hit and miss.

Taste of TV shows is always interesting.

After Seeing 'Power Book IV- Force' got 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes I watched 40 minutes of Eps 1 the other day.   I thought it was D grade and turned it off.   🙂      Some stuff resonates, and some doesn't, just like music taste.

Happy viewing and listening.

On SBS where excellent shows are a dime a dozen

Yes well the final of Lioness was bit flacid--the series gave impression --to Moi anyway it was rushed to conclusion, some more Plot/ character development  missing maybe.

8 episodes? -with the last couple appearing to lean towards "lets get this done and get outa this" --maybe they could not afford Ms Kidman for further🙄!

6/10

Watched the final episode of Ted Lasso last night. Loved it

An absolute favourite of mine, it will be sorely missed.

I was late to this series. some episodes not so good but generally it's mostly brilliant. As others have said the development of the characters is a standout.

Started watching the final episode of series 3 last night but turned it off to watch later - only cause I don't want it to end 🙁

House of Cards...USA...how good is this!

Robin Wright is fearsome.

If you think the USA version is good (and it is brilliant) find the original UK one.    So far ahead of its time.

Ian Richardson earned international fame as the villainous Francis Urquart in the BBC television trilogy, "House of Cards." Uttered in a cut-glass accent, the Machiavellian Prime Minister's sly "You might well think that ... I couldn't possibly comment" became a catchphrase when the series was broadcast in the 1990s.

I use that catch phrase whenever I can 🙂 at work.      I think you can buy the series on DVD from JBHiFi or similar.

I am halfway through - NETFLIX - UNTOLD: THE GIRLFRIEND WHO DIDN’T EXIST

Wow what an amazing true story.  Another College Football/NFL Doco that blows the mind.    Social media is beyond scary.

Glad I am not on it.

My beloved 'Brassic' is back on for season 5 soon.    Season 4 was a hoot as always.   You can find it on ABC Iview.

If you want a LOL chuckle and don't mind some OTT swearing, then give it a go.   Joseph Gilgun is a national treasure.    As the Vampire in 'Preacher' he was hilarious.

I know I am very, very, very late to the party, but I just finished watching 'Chernobyl'.    OMG what a sunning show.    Brilliant cast, brilliant performances and obviously an incredible true story.    I never really knew all the details, so watching it unfold was mind blowing.

Foundation Season 2 has ended.   Stronger than Season 1 IMHO, with some solid story arc's and some amazing visuals.

don't really have my finger on the pulse of what's new and all the range with the kids. And I generally find "high commitment TV" is not for me. need closure of some sort per watching.

Wrapped up session 2 of White Lotus a week or so back. Wife was more of a fan. To me, just indulgent rich folks in awkward stories, un-relatable and a little predictable

A few episodes into season 1 of Physical. Love the 80s vibe. and episodes are only 1/2 hour odd.

I finished season 1 of Pinky Blinders. Rich and compelling. looking forward to season 2.

I just started watching 1883. A wagon train of (German I think) migrants fresh off the boat in Texas naively setting out into the edge of the world. I'm enjoying this even if the off the map vibe is a little unnerving.

I'm very late to the party but have taken a Binge Trial just so I can watch Chernobyl. WOW, what a brilliant series, so incredibly bleak but can't look away. I have 1.5 episodes to go so will finish it tonight.

I stumbled across this series the other day.

'Spy Ops'

I have watched the first 3 Eps.   Very watchable if you like some old fashion doco's.   Lots of interviews from those that were front and centre to the action.   So much stuff I never really knew about.

Regards Cazzesman

I just finished Ep6, they are interesting.

Beckham - on Netflix.

One to the greatest sports doco's I have seen.    All I knew about him before was - Star soccer player, Husband to Posh Spice, Fasionista.

The 4 Eps were amazing.  Terrific interviews and stunning soccer footage.

Brilliant.   Just Brilliant.

Eps 2 is a snap shot of the Evil British Press.    Disgusting.

3  Episodes completed for me and also loving it.

I'm a football (soccer) fan, so was aware of most of the football related coverage, but it's still been a brilliant watch.

Back in 2013 my wife and I watched the first 2 eps of Peaky Blinders.  For reasons unknown to me now, it just didn't grab my attention.

10 years later we are bingeing it like there is no tomorrow.      Sam Neil is a gem and Cillian Murphy nails it.     We have just reached Eps 2 of S2 and my favorite Tom Hardy has appeared.     The entire scene b/t Tom and Cillian just cracked me up.     I would loved to have been a fly on the wall for that scene to see what direction was given to Tom and how much the script changed from start to finish.

I'm extremely late to the party but glad I finally got here.

On the bright side, I have 36 eps to devour.

Being a diehard fan of Deadwood, I keep wondering to my wife what words David Milch would have put into these actors' mouths.  🙂

Season 2 of Taika Waititi’s - Our Flag Means Death, is also out now.    At 25 mins per Ep, it is an amusing, lighthearted bit of fun.  Taika and Rhys Darby are old TV friends who do a great job with this send-up on the 7 seas.      93% on Rotten Tomatoes.

A few return shows..............

Shoresy is back for S2, fiercely wielding his ice hockey stick and his cutting tongue.    If you are a Letterkenny fan you will not want to miss this show.

Annika - S2 - with Nicola Walker, who never has a dud show.

https://iview.abc.net.au/show/annika

A new show I will start this week is - Bodies - A Syfy/Crime series.     Staring Stephen Graham.   The premise looks interesting to me.    Graham is pretty consistent with his acting choices.

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-reviews/bodies-review-netflix-1235621182/

The Lazarus Project  S2 launches in November 2023.    Another Syfy/Thriller where a clandestine branch of the UK Government has the ability to reset Time if/when the Worlds destruction is imminent due to 3rd WW happening.    It is better than it sounds. 🙂

For All Mankind S4 - Starts on Nov 10th.    An excellent Syfy series based on the revolving doors theory of Space Exploration with the 'What If' scenario.      Created and written by Ronald D. Moore, whose CV is pretty grand.

He is best known for his work on Star Trek, as well as on the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica television series, for which he won a Peabody Award, and on Outlander, based on the novels of the same name by Diana Gabaldon.

I loved Eps 1 of S3 - Peaky Blinders.   It reminded me in part of 'The Red Wedding' in GOT, without the gallons of blood of course  🙂

Happy viewing.

Always love “Bosch”, now enjoying the 2nd season of the Prime “Bosch:Legacy” series. Although I also always get an unsettled anxious feeling whenever I see his gorgeous hifi equipment in the blazing LA sun. ☀️

Lawmen - Bass Reeves.

Another Taylor Sheridan effort.  I watched Eps 1 last night.   Off to an okay start.   A generic setup for the most part but worth a look if you are a TS fan.

Bodies is tracking nicely.    It is both entertaining and intriguing.    The 4 time line setups are very well done.

Yes, looking forward to watching Lawmen - Bass Reeves.  I like most of TS work

Have not seen much about Bodies, apart from the title on Netflix. Will add that to my endless list to check out
