dan-m9 Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 Further information: A beast of a Yamaha amp, superbly built with all high-quality parts (black gate, nichicon, elna caps), capacitors and transformers and very HEAVY. All caps are original and looks good and sounds very clean and natural. Rated at 130W PC but sounds way higher, can easily handle/drive any speaker loads with ease. Amp has been serviced by Brisbane Speaker repairs (with his amp tech) a little while ago (pots cleaned and checked over etc). Reason for serviced was due to the tone bypass button not working correctly/scratchy (so couldn’t use the Treble/Mids/Bass pots etc). It has been repaired so they can be used fine now but cannot use tone bypass (due to button issue), but not really an issue now as with having all Treble/Mids/Bass/Bal at 0 anyway is the same as tone bypass anyway. Priced to sell, these go for an easy $500+ second hand. Prefer local pickup due to not having suitable box and being a heavy vintage amp. Can drop off at local pack and send for buyer if wanted. Thanks.
