EXPIRED: JVC A-X5 (c1979-1982) integrated amplifier MM/MC phono

Further information:

Great vintage amplifier from JVC when they were attempting higher end audio, rated at 70wpc. Super A! Mm/mc phono inputs. Engraved on rear. Audition not available until post-lockdown. Will set up and film for anyone interested in post on request. First sales post here, so pls let me

know if I’ve missed anything or am off on price. I’ve found price is hard w these as the only others I could find were o/s parts units or had the flip down cover broken off and other issues. Thoroughly enjoyed this but there’s not enough room for me, myself, my excess audio and another kiddo.

Hi ; this looks like a nice amp.

Could you please let me know what kind of speaker wire receptacles it has ?

Looks like it only accepts bare wire .... is that correct ? Also can it operate speaker A & B simultaneously ?

Thanks Dennis, yep accepts bare wires as per original connectors. A & B speakers (1 & 2 in this amps parlance) can be operated simultaneously via the flip down control panel (pic 6 by my counting). Cheers

Attempting, dunno about that as they made some great HiFi gear over the years and I've owned a few JVC amps and still own one, my much loved JVC RS-77, owned that for 42 years now, anyway this is a nice looking Integrated Amp and good luck with the sale, who ever buys it will be happy
