This is all after I had to spend days removing my contact number for anything to do with StereoNET from the 'net a few years back due to the overwhelming amount of phone calls I would get, all hours and days of the week for password problems etc.

The wording could be adapted so as to not infringe copyright. However, Tidal wouldn’t have copyright ownership in the procedure itself.

Now there's a very sensible starting point, do it right now and worry about the details later, with the benefit of a clear inbox?

 

Nobody needs to log on to StereoNet that urgently, I mean you run a forum not an essential service provider (no disrespect intended )

 

As for people phoning you, unsolicited, just make it an automatic banning offence within the forum rules.   Perhaps tucked away under Rule #1: No D#@kheads

Perfect example. An email just hit my inbox - a disgruntled member having login problems. But didn’t actually tell me the problem or even ask for any form of help. 
 

I responded -  “Did you actually want me to help you or just have a rant? I’m human. Be kind.”

 

They responded and apologised and blamed lockdownitis. And that right there is half the problem I think. Everyone is flat - or worse. 
 

We are all forgetting to be kind. The vast majority of us would not speak or act the way we are right now, perhaps in normal times or at very least, in person.

The last 18 months has been a real eye opener for me.

I have learnt more about my fellow human beings than any other time in my life.

I have heard that it is extremely difficult to get an appointment to see a Mental Health Professional at the moment.

I am not surprised.

i know i don't have to watch it which i refuse to any more,i also realise how serious the whole mess is but we will come out of it sooner than later i hope,my neighbours will be hoping so also as the stereo has been getting a bit of a hiding,music soothes the soul,maybe it's good for my neighbours also as they haven't complained,not yet anyway,
hope ya all are enjoying your own music and stereo in these times,also being involved on SNA is good therapy for some ,so stay safe all and try and make good thing out of a rotten situation we are all in.

Unfortunately the culture I see out there has become very self-centred with no sense of personal accountability and an inflated sense of personal entitlement.

 

One example of this the other night was one driver deliberately and forcefully not allowing other people to merge when it was their turn to merge with the lanes being closed and then sticking his arm out the window and giving them the finger.

 

It troubles me to see where our culture is going but it is worth holding on to the fact that there still are good people out there.

 

You only have to look back through this thread to see that there still is a community of good people here on Stereonet with this thread having been jovial but completely in good spirit.

 

The best thing you can do is keep promoting a positive community and not letting the ****holes get to you.

There are still good people out there and as far as Pandemics and lockdowns go they won't last forever.

Well, I've come late to this thread, and after a rummage I see no particular difference in any settings, so I'm confused. Then I read something like this quote and I think maybe SNA is going Pokemon? Or maybe too many B movies in lockdown has affected the quality of the postings here, as the "Bwahaaahaaa" seems to be missing?

 

Anyway. If my guess is correct and SNA is suddenly about Badgers then I am well ahead, as I married one thirty years ago (it's an old English surname) and her WAF for good stereo has never wavered. Furthermore, if ranking is a thing, here is a Fleet Admiral .
