EshDes Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 Hi All I am running a Cyrus One at present and was wondering whether hooking it up to a Cyrus power amplifierwould improve sound quality? How does it work? Connections wise I understand that it's via pre out...But are the sources connected via the amp or the power amp? And is there a possibility to borrow a power amp to test out?
Al.M Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 (edited) It depends on what will match your speakers and whether they need the extra power. Often when this kind of thing is done you can get a stronger or more powerful sound but not always a more detailed or coherent sound so depends on what you like or can exactually appreciate. Try googling for how to connect integrated amplifiers to power amps. Edited September 10, 2021 by Al.M 1
Mani Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 With Cyrus gear all sources is connect to your from what ever controls the volume in your case it would Cyrus one . With Cyrus power amp that I have use in the pass ranging from bi amping to mono blocks ( one power amp per speaker) you get more bass control and more natural sounding easy on the ears.
