Currently listening to 1.FM Adore Jazz using my Sherwood TX-5505iD (Wifi) tuner SPDIF connected to BenchMark DAC 1 and it sounds great especially the bass.

What other great sounding internet radio stations have you come across?

I'll need to check some of those out.

The following all offer 320kbps MP3 and sound great to me:

Linn Radio, Linn Jazz & Linn Classical.  Definitely no compression or other funny business on these.

ISKC Group stations (Blues Cafe, Only Live, RadioActive, etc.).

For Reggae, it's Jah Music Mansion.

Black Sheep Soul was a real favourite, but it disappeared a couple of years ago.

Thanks for the recommendations.

Radio Paradise is very addictive and easy to listen to.

For some reason I could not get Radio BluesFlac through my Sherwood but did find it on the web.

Never been able to get Mother Earth Radio, @POV any chance of posting the playback URL.

Naim radio is another great lossless station.  http://mscp3.live-streams.nl:8360/flac.flac

There is also Naim Jazz and Classical, both lossless.

Can anyone tell me why Radio Paradise is the only one able to display current playing album art and track rundown time?

No other station I play appears to do that. Might be a bandwidth issue as RP is the only lossless station I get dropouts in.

lots of different genre. I think the SQ is just as good as Radio Paradise.

It appears the streaming url for 3PBS has changed since they moved into their new location, as the old one no longer works. Anyone able to provide it to me?

Just checked on  my older Sangean WFT-1D and have the same problem.  No problem on the WFT-3D or via the Frontier Nuvola Smart Radio Web page.

In my station list on the web page, the 'Not compatible with all of your devices' symbol is now shown for PBS.

I did a station search via the Nuvola page and PBS is there.  I assume it's the same URL since it still works on my other radio, but only offering AAC format and only at 64kbps.  AAC is not supported by the WFT-1D which is MP3 and ASF only.  Looks like RRR has gone the same way only offering AAC format, but at 3 different bitrates. 32, 64 & 160kbps.

Could be worth letting PBS know.  Dropping the other format/s might be a deliberate decision related to resources or cost, but it might just be an oversight.

I still listen to both of those stations via FM, so I hadn't noticed the change.

Thanks @surprisetech. Could you list the url that is working  for PBS if it displays on any of your streamers.

I've had a look and it doesn't appear that the actual URL is displayed on any of my devices or on the webpages that I use to set up and manage my favourites.  i.e. Nuvola Smart Radio for the Sangeans and Nextwave devices or TuneIn for my Marantz AVR.

The streaming link on the PBS website seems to be an embedded player and doesn't show any URL either.

What device are you using as your player?  I can't remember the last time I had to enter an actual URL as opposed to just searching within the device or app.

I'm using Volumio on a raspberry Pi4B and the stations, if not on their list, need to be manually entered.

No familiar with Volumio.

The webpage linked below suggests PBS are happy to share the URL if required.  Have you tried giving them a call or making an enquiry via their Contact form?

Why is that a problem?  It's the same on moOde.

I tried calling but nobody seemed to know what I was talking about. They kept referring me to their website url. It's only a problem aussievintage because I need to input the stations"s url in order to listen to it, whether it be moode or volumio if the station is not already listed on the 500 or so that they offer for selection.

The address of the stream can usually be found.  IIRC (it's been a while) try them out in a media player (like Clementine or one of those that has lots of stations) and get the URL from the stream information. e.g.

Sorry for the epically slow reply!  I was just looking through the thread and noticed this.  So I generally listen to it via Roon; but it's also accessible via Cambridge Audio Stream Magic, Bluos, Tunein, Undock, and Vtuner I think.

This website is a great source for finding various streams of high res internet radio stations:

Mother Earth Radio - High Resolution Audio (hiresaudio.online)

Here is a link for the web player:

Mother Earth Radio (streamserver24.com)

Here is a URL for the high res stream direct:

Here is a URL for the high res instrumental stream:

@POVBetter late than never, but unfortunately none of those URLs worked in Volumio.

hmm, not sure sorry.  Just checked and the stream URL works inside Roon and Stream Magic.  I have literally zero experience with Volumio I’m afraid.
