drteflon Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 (edited) Further information: I bought these in I think 2008 and they I believe are the gen 2s they are Gen IV Mk 2. I used them as surrounds for 6 years then gifted to them to my sister who has decided on the simpler Sonos system recently (see other items). Top of the speakers have duct tape that I used to secure a bracket to the wall to prevent them falling over when my kids were young. I have not attempted to remove this tape. They have only ever been driven by receivers and for their age would be lightly used. Good to very good condition. Great option for those wanting to start a home theatre system or stereo system. Carrera1963 Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 Wow I had these on my wish list when they were released! great price, someone should be very happy with them
audiofeline Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 If you are concerned about removing the duct tape, DeSolvIt citrus cleaner from Bunnings is the best thing I have found for removing new or old adhesive without damaging the surface. GLWTS, I've been impressed with VAF when I've heard it at the shows. 1 1
sakabatou Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 They look like Gen 4 Mk2 to me - I have a pair around the same vintage. This is a bargain dc7 data sheet short.pdf
drteflon Posted December 4, 2021 Author Posted December 4, 2021 @sakabatou yes you are correct! I think I got rid of the original paperwork a few years ago when I upgraded. Even more of a bargain then... Maybe I should keep them as a third system haha. 1
