Belcanto amps are not based on the off-the-shelf NC500 modules.

They are just different buffer boards, using LME49720 opamps instead of Hypex ones, I found no matter how good the buffer is, no buffer is best if your dac has high enough voltage output to give you the level you need like mine.

There's more Amps using NC500 modules, distortion graphs I just posted, not just Becanto that you didn't see, and are very alike.

What are the speakers George, diy or a commercial product? Any pics

So now you have class D amps, does that mean computer audio and dsp as well? 😁

By the way, we are both still using a buffer, its just the output stage of our dacs.

Hello all,

I just joined the forum (literally yesterday) and am not sure whether this is the correct window for posting questions. But on the NC500, do pins 25, 26 (Vaux- and Vaux+) need to be connected to +/- 15V to operate the module or is this optional? Also can pin 11 (VDR) be left unconnected? I am planning to drop these modules into an old (and dead) Haffler amp, using its power supply, case, and connectors. Thanks!
