 Another day, another tweak. Up for sale an SFP+ CISCO ACTIVE OPTICAL CABLE (AOC) device which provides optical isolation for your incoming Ethernet connection. It's sold by Afterdark as primarily for the Ethergen but I'd suggest you might get even better mileage out of it if you don't have a fancy ethernet switch and no isolation on the cable feeding into your streaming device. 

Afterdark sell this combination for about $260. They do talk about modifying the Fiber Transceiver by adding EMI absorption sheeting inside the unit.
