Is it a DAC Magic?

Nice all black theme going on :)

Correct, 9.1 and dacmagic, somehow I ended up with a pretty British system.

Wharfedale 9.1

Cambridge Audio Dacmagic

NAD C320BEE(not pictured)

JDS Labs O2 amp

Sennheiser HD598(not pictured)

Leopold FC700R (Keyboard)

Steelseries Sensei Raw(Mouse)

Steelseries 4HD(Mousepad)

Beyond happy with this setup, only recently moved it all onto my desk. I used to have the speakers in a corner at bad angles, and it has made a HUGE difference in sound quality. So impressed with this setup for how little? I have spent on it.

Now I have to figure out if I can fit 2x24" monitors on my desk.

LOL

You will find a way, even if it means high stands either side of the desk for the speakers, so the desk accommodates the monitors :)

The other week I was configuring 6 of them on a system I built a friend, weird when you have to turn ya' head so much to take it all in.

Two is good enough for most people.

Can someone explain to an old coot why you would need multiple monitors ??

In some games you can split the image across both screens for a more immersive experience - but the true benefit I personally find, is in productivity.

If using Photoshop I can have the canvas on one, all the tools on the other, email open etc etc...  In word documenting, you can scan through multiple pages at once at full zoom...

In general computer usage, you might have a web browser open on one and your itunes library and playlist on the other.. etc etc.

Nice system trons - but I would be more concerned about how I could get the speakers on stands, than the monitors. They will sound a heck of a lot better....

Think the tall stands go on the floor beside the side ends of the desk then the entire desk top is free

If you take your time these occasionally come up at ridiculously low prices on eBay

Thanks for the explanation, tho for general computing I seem to get on fine with 2 or more windows open on one 24" screen.   Less desk clutter & less wear & tear on my neck vertabrae.....or am I still missing something?

I have my 9.1 diamonds, either side of a similar size desk, sitting on nice stands I bought from Jaycar for a bit over $100.  The stands are black, 3 tubular uprights & almost 90cm high when spiked, ideal I feel.

Honestly, dual monitors are one of those things you won't understand until you try it. You really have to give it a go to realise what you are missing out on. Obviously one monitor is enough for most people, but having two gives you so much room for activities!

Great looking set up. I love the Wharfedale series, great value for money.

.....BTW this is all where it starts

Have fun. Kyle
