LWA Staff Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 Further information: Annnnnd we're back! Today's offering is this simply superb Classé CA-5300 5 X 300watt per channel power amp in excellent condition. We have this unit priced in-store @$5,555 – but for StereoNET members it's just $5000 + freight to your location. That's some serious bang for your buck folks...Offering prodigious power, sophisticated control and reliability - the CA-5300 amplification process occurs on a single board, with the idea of creating the most direct and transparent signal path conceivable. The uniquely miniaturized driver stage offers very low noise, so every nuance of the original signal reaches the output stage. Heat management in the CA-5300 is provided by Classé's "ICTunnel" tech, a sensor- and microprocessor-controlled technology inspired by the heatsinks found in high-power laser and medical equipment. Beam me up! Mounted inside the unit, ICTunnel actively regulates the amplifier temperature to ensure both optimum performance and reliability. From a cold start, the amplifiers warm up fast (It's claimed that they reach their ideal temperature in less than fifteen minutes) and remain there regardless of how hard they are driven. More on the amp here at the Classé website. Specifications: Frequency response - 1 Hz – 100 kHz, -3dB Output power - 300W rms into 8Ω (24.8 dBW) - All channels driven* Harmonic Distortion <0.002% at 1 kHz balanced / <0.004% at 1 kHz single ended Peak Output Voltage 167V peak to peak, 53V rms no load / 156V peak to peak, 48V rms into 8Ω Input Impedance - 50kΩ balanced / single ended Voltage gain - 29dB balanced / single ended Input level at clipping - 2.1V rms balanced / single ended Signal to Noise Ratio - -116dB at peak output into 8Ω Measurement Bandwidth: 22 kHz Output impedance - 0.03Ω @ 1 kHz 2
BugPowderDust Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 I have one for these for my surround setup and it’s nothing short of magnificent. A true beast and if you have a classe preamp it will be controllable via the can bus connection.
woogie59 Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 (edited) From the label in the photo it appears to say "Assembled in China" in English and then in French. Checked another unit online and it's label confirms it. Edited March 16, 2022 by woogie59 1
