I'm up but not very happy about it. My car broke down yesterday on the way home from work.  I had to have it towed to my garage. 

I'm trying to be optimistic, but this may end up being an expensive fix.  I did not sleep well last night and got up late .

I had just started to make a turn and heard a loud thump like I just hit something.  After that, I was still in drive, but I was just revving the engine and not moving.  So, I suspect the transmission.  But usually if the transmission is going bad there are initial symptoms and I had none.  Right up to when it happened, it was driving smooth as always.  It's a 2011 Honda Accord with 150,000 on it. I bought it at 105, 000 and the first thing that I did was to have Honda change out the transmission fluid so normally, I should be good for over 200.000 easy. 

 

Bummer. And just in time for Christmas.
