2Brix Posted Sunday at 11:08 AM Posted Sunday at 11:08 AM Sunday night, finished dinner (steak night Sunday) and now...cues schtank face... press play. Every time i play this it is a revelation afresh (deja vu all over again). This is an outstanding Redbook CD and hearing this, the naturalness, warmth, goosebump clarity, soundstage, dynamics, viscerality (new word!) and crankability...just superb! The combo of the amazing talent of Sara K, her folksy blues, the synergy with the backing musos, the arrangements and the recording/mixing/mastering brilliance of the team at Stockfisch. Equal, perhaps better, than any other format (except live). Sample this album on your preferred streaming service and, if it floats YOUR boat, then seek out this CD. You wont be disappointed. 4 1

I agree with your assessment. Love me some Sara K. 3
wownflutter Posted Sunday at 11:58 AM Author Posted Sunday at 11:58 AM Man. I planned on listening to music more than normal this weekend. I planned on moving the speakers back Sunday evening. We've had company drop in over and over all weekend. Very little listening so far. We have the grandson most of the day today. 4 1

2Brix Posted Sunday at 12:44 PM Posted Sunday at 12:44 PM i think i first became aware of Tom Waits when i watched the movie Down by Law when it came out (1986) and somehow worked out that he was also a musician. I'm not a fan of some of his later releases with very guttural 'singing', but this album i love absolutely...the laconic live set, spoken word intros for most songs which move seamlessly into singing story telling 2 1
