Further information:

Although some years old now, this Windows-based server continues to do an amazing job. It has been in the second system – rarely used – since I went with an Aurender W20 in the Reference system 4 years ago. The machine runs very cool and very quiet (about 8dB) and you wouldn’t know it was running. The other significant design feature is an audio daughter-board that provides amazingly sweet sound. It’s configured to run JRiver’s Media Centre and can cope with all digital inputs and outputs, although using the AES output (via the daughter-board - with JRiver Media Center downsampling anything above 192kHz  - including DSD - on the fly) delivers the best results. It also manages both audio and video, so if you’re into both, it’s a better solution than a pure music server (like the Aurender). It is in perfect condition and I upgraded the drive to a flash drive a couple of years ago. It is also running Windows 10.

A couple of references for reviews when the Baetis Ref was released - I purchased it in 2015 -
