On sale in the shop for $1000, StereoNET members pay just $850 + freight to your location. A quick search around the o/s interwebs shows these amps are selling north of $1500 AUD, so we reckon this real value at $850. When it was the released the DSP-Z9 was full of innovation with ability to automatically optimize the sound for the listening room, superior audio and video quality, and the operating ease that Yamaha is famous for. Highlights include Burr-Brown 192-kHz/24-bit digital-to-analogue converters for all 11 channels with DSD (Direct Stream Digital) compatibility. An Accurate- Touch Volume Control for all channels (Yamaha YAC520 LSIs). The digital bass/treble tone controls have turnover frequencies for main L/R and centre channels. 8-channel analogue input signals are processed by 96kHz A/D conversion for high sound quality. All circuitry is on a 4- layer processing board with fully shielded cabinet for reduced digital interference. The DSP-Z9 also offers i.LINK (IEEE1394) compatibility.
