We have just returned from the holiday of a lifetime on the Kimberly Quest so thought I would share a few photos.

The boat itself is very nice but the most amazing thing is that it has a jet boat capable of fitting 20 or so people, 3 tenders and a helicopter. 🤯 The crew were some of the nicest and most passionate people you will ever meet. They were having just as much fun as us, well super knowledgeable and were keen to make the trip as memorable as they could.
The chef onboard was simply amazing and the food was pretty special. He was super eager to get out and about and he came across some Gwion art not documented.

Also on board was naturalist Tim Willing. He is an amazing man with a wealth of knowledge of the Kimberly region. He was a horticulturist with Parks and Gardens for the Shire of Broome. He has also works as a Conservation Officer for the west Kimberly. He has co-authored 2 books , has had a wattle name after him and received a CSIRO Medal for Research Achievement.

The trip certainly wasn’t cheap but it was worth every penny. We learned so much, got to visit some sights that very little people have had the chance to experience and were blown away every single day of the trip. Unfortunately not a lot of fishing happened due to tides and the change of sanctuary’s but was great to get out on the tenders, caught a little GT, missed a decent sized Barra.

You were looking a lot happier than the fish.

The fish does have a look of horror on its face. 😂

Nice Threadfin, how did you cook it, and how did it taste?

We got a decent Queenie as well and we actually had it sashimi with a beautiful soy and ginger dressing. 👍
