recently bought from @Grizzly so I’m using his accurate description.

 

‘A Japanese sourced (multiple voltage- switch behind the plastic cover on the rear panel so runs natively on 240v) unit subjected to a nut and bolt restoration about 5 years back. Suicide diodes sorted (naturally), upgraded capacitors (Amcron, Nichicon et Al), upgraded input jacks and speaker terminals, new trim pots, all boards switches and controls cleaned, solder joints reflowed, original 53 rank vfets reseated with new heat pads.

Some very minor marks where shown, otherwise very hard to fault.’

why selling? I love it but it doesn’t quite fit where I wanted it do, so I’m keeping my Sansui AU-555a instead as it’s a bit more compact. 

 

Will not disappoint the most discerning inspection and audition, there is barely a mark on it and the work has been done to a very high standard.
