I purchased these speakers from Trevor’s Kew store in 2008 for $1250 AUD and am selling them as well as some other audio gear after the sale of the family home (which is also located in Kew). These are very heavy speakers so pickup in person is the only option, no postage I'm afraid.

Designed and built here in Melbourne by Trevor Lees Audio using twin Danish mid-woofer drivers (either Vifa M18WO or ScanSpeak Classic 8545 18w depending on the year of manufacture) and Focal tweeters. These are Trevor's classic rear-ported speakers with bi-wire terminal connectors in a classic D'Appolito configuration, in which the tweeter is located between two identical midranges lined up vertically. (D'Appollito designs are also known as MTM's, where the "M" refers to the mid-woofer and the "T" to the tweeter - in other words, the arrangement of drivers on the front is Midrange/Tweeter/Midrange).

The black fascia covers are in as new condition and the beautiful cabinets were built by Colin Whatmough using a stunning South African Bubinga wood veneer and black wooden base-plates. The internal speaker wiring uses Kimber 8TC for the bass units and silver solid core wire for the tweeters. Trevor’s crossovers utilise only the highest quality components in a sophisticated arrangement comprising wondercaps and handwound inductors.

These speakers deliver great bass punch, an open mid-range and clear precise highs with pinpoint imaging. They are an absolute steal at this price for the quality of sound reproduction they deliver. This model and the smaller floorstanders were both very popular models that sold for over 20 Years from Trevor’s Kew, Melbourne shopfront.
