I had 3 integrated MingDa EL34 amps for sale with two selling but the 3rd demo model is proving difficult to shift so I thought I'd sweeten the deal and throw in a quad of Philips/ Mullard EL34s.  Still no movement so I decided to have a listen to the Philips rather than the ones that came with the amp and WOW what a difference.

I forgot how good these valves are. To think I was giving them away to whoever bought the amp.

PHILIPS/ MULLARD valves in my opinion are impossible to beat.

Where is the best place to list valves as I have way to many and I will need to reduce my stash.

I do have some  Mullard xf2 and xf3 .  I have about 20 EL34's which I'll have to sell pretty soon as they were all thoroughly tested about 2 weeks ago

That's why I was surprised that no one bought a $1275.00 amp that had a quad of Mullard/Philips EL34 's thrown in,

Cheap amp.  If it doesn't sell by Monday I'll pull the deal and sell the valves separately.

All the El34's test as new.

Some XF's are near worth that much.

Edit: for a quad.

Just goes to show how good a deal I am offering someone for another few days before I get Kerry to pull the ad.

Big fan of the old stock Philips/Mullard EL34. I never understand the logic of buying new production ones. At one stage, I got probably 20 or so Mullards XF4 double D getter. I'll be watching with interest of Mullard/Philips EL34 sale in the classified for sure.

Yet to decide where to list them for maximum exposure,  have plenty of  other output valves that I need to go through first.

No hurry to do that.

You can go Gumtree with the baggage of that site

But no fee slug

Sold heaps of valves in the past on Gumtree without ant trouble but I'd rather list here or ebay for the GEC KT 66's plus a pair of 1930 2A3 mono plate valves.  Into my 70's now so better hurry up or the kids will throw them into a skip bin.

Why is it a demo unit? Sorry I'm not following. Are you selling these units as a dealer?

My mates an agent and I'm selling them for him as I'm home all the time. He is building me a 13E1 SE amp and this is one way of paying for the work he is doing.

It's been about 20 years since I have tested them on my AVO MK4 and I got a reading of 90%.  They were then put away and only pulled out to take a picture off to send to Ludwell Sibley in the US who gave me the story on them.

Made in Newark  New Jersey  by RCA in about 1930.  Bases are etched Van Dyke.

Beautiful valves I always wanted to try them but i I couldn't find a 2nd pair that I could afford. That didn't ever eventuate so time to sell
