Hi everyone,

Looking for some advice or recommendations. I currently have a 160" scope OZ Theatres Majestic screen. Whenever I tension the screen enough to have a good look with no waves or ripples I end up having a 30mm bow in the screen at the centre. When I try and reduce the tension to reduce the bow to about 10mm the screen is noticeably not taught enough.

I have considered placing another bracket at the middle of the bottom to take the bow out of the frame, not sure how that would go with the screen material. I assume I would have to leave some flex in the material on the ground then hope it goes taught when I take the bow out.

Has anyone had similar issues?

Cheers

My OZTS is only 130", so not as large as yours, but I didn't have your problem. You may be stretching a bit too tight. Remember not to pull on the screen fabric to remove the lock strips - it will distort/tear the fabric.

My installation guide shows two reinforcing pieces for larger screens >4m - contact Rich for some.

Thanks Quark, I suspect I may be stretching it too taught trying to get the perfect screen finish. Possibly the way I’m doing it as well.

I will revisit the installation guide again.

I should have mentioned that minor ripples usually settle out within 24 hours.

So I went through and followed the install manual to the dot and a much better result. I bought one of the fly screen rollers that made a massive difference. Clearly doing it wrong the first time!

I would have thought that this should have a top-to-bottom brace in the middle to specifically stop this sagging from happening
